While telling me about their proposal story they said, “At one point we were wiping tears from each other’s faces.” Jonathan had asked his mother to take Sedef and her mother out for a girls day while he setup candles, flowers, and got dinner ready. When they got to his mother’s house he was waiting, ready for a surprise proposal. Sedef was frozen in shock, and Jonathan was paralyzed by nerves.

This May, Alex will proudly walk across the stage, marking the end of an incredible high school journey.

Shauna & Matthew had a perfect wedding this past Saturday at Vintage Oaks Barn in Delphi, Indiana. They both started their mornings by getting ready with their closest friends and family in the revamped silos onsite. The ceremony took place in front of an arch covered in colorful flowers. After their ceremony, Shauna & Matthew continued to celebrated their marriage at their reception by dancing together for the first time as husband and wife, eating good food, cutting a cake, and partying with their friends.

After their ceremony, Taylor whisked away to do something surprising and cut her hair! Taylor & Zachary continued to celebrated their marriage at their reception by eating good food, cutting a cake, and having a loving first dance together.

Trevor and I are so excited to announce the birth of our second baby boy. Forrest Allen Lang was born on December 8, 2023. We were at the hospital for a routine non-stress test, which I had been doing for a few months because of my gestational diabetes. I knew we would most likely wind up staying in the hospital because I had been having consistent contractions for a few days leading up to this, so Trevor and I packed our bags just in case. As the contractions progressed, the doctor determined we couldn’t leave, and Mr. Forrest was born that evening via planned c-section.

Judith & Diego have known each other since a young age because they grew up from nearby towns in Mexico. When they were both in High School, Diego became good friends with Judith’s brother. Judith told us, “Finally I went out with him in my senior year of high school. And after like 2 years of him trying to convince me, we started dating.” And now, they’re getting married!!

A surprisingly warm spring day at Loft 21 in Lincolnshire, Illinois just north of Chicago spent getting ready at a hotel with their bridal party before seeing each other for the first time at a local park and then walking down the aisle at their beautifully elegant indoor ceremony site, then finishing off the night with dinner, amazing speeches, and tons of dancing to end their first evening together as husband and wife—this was Emily & CJ’s special day.
Kari and Zach expressed from the beginning how excited they were to take photos on their farm with tractors. Their relationship started at the National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville, Kentucky, so they couldn’t imagine photos without their farm being the setting. Whenever we get a chance to try incorporating personal things that are special to our couples into their sessions we are totally down.
Why do photographers love a good sunrise or sunset moment? There are many reasons including lighting, stylistic options, and evenness of tones. Shadows are often better during a sunrise or sunset and placement of subjects (aka you, the client) can create glowing interest with rays of sunbeams in the background. In this post we’ll break down the difference between a sunrise and sunset session and why you should care.
Wedding trends come and go. While it’s fun to incorporate some trendy elements and unique things into your wedding, we encourage our couples to keep a balance of what’s hip and cool with what’s timeless and won’t make you cringe to look at in 10 years.
Lyndsey & Jacob had a timeless winter wedding at Gathering Acres Event Center in Lafayette, Indiana. Given the winter storm that happened the day before, the weather cooperated beautifully enough for us to even get some photos outside. After getting ready in their private on-site bridal suits with jean jackets and cowboy boots, Lyndsey & Jacob saw each other for the first time as she approached him down the aisle. As the sun began to set, they continued to celebrated their marriage by partying indoors, eating good food, cutting their cake, and dancing the night away as husband and wife.
Leland has been coming back to our studio year after year for all of his birthday pictures. This year he turned 3 years old!! Boy, how does time fly? This little ball of energy was so fun to have over again, and we love watching him grow. We’ve documented his 6 month photos for him with his family, his 9 month photos in the studio during Christmas time, his one year old cake smash session that was themed around fishing, his second birthday with a “two the moon” theme, and now this session where we commemorated him turning THREE.
Engagement pictures turned family photos is no problem in our eyes! We love incorporating special moments into our sessions that speak specifically to each couple, and Dominique & Brandon could not have imagined their engagement session without their little girl. Their love for each other is full and abundant but it’s not complete without Laina Rae by their side.
This year was honestly our most fun year ever. It’s crazy how much we all grow year after year, but this was the year we felt like it was less about growing and more about enjoying. We truly loved every single wedding, session, milestone, etc., that we got to be a part of. As our business continues to help families and couples capture life’s important milestones with photos and videos we are continually reminded of why we do what we do. We love that we can be a part of memorializing each of our clients’ special days, but also that we can do this together as a family too. This is our first full season with a little one (now a toddler) at our side, and while the learning curve was steap, we were constantly made aware of our reason behind doing all of this. This blog post is dedicated to all of you who helped support our little growing family in 2022 and continued to give us hope for achieving our dreams.
It was early, gloomy, and cold, but these two sure do clean up nice! Kylee and Jacob met us at the Carmel Christkindlmarkt before they opened in the morning for some beautiful holiday themed engagement photos. We had the entire Christmas Market to ourselves, and enjoyed taking our time taking pictures surrounded by all of the lights and holiday decorations.
This family braved the cold. We were only outside for a few quick minutes before rushing into the studio for more portraits of the kids, but what we were able to accomplish so quickly makes it all worth it. This is why we love having our studio on this amazing property–we’ve got plenty of open landscape and even access to the river!
Let me introduce you to Emily & Erik. They met me at France Park to brave the cold for their engagement session. During their session we talked about how they met and Emily said, “We met through mutual friends, I asked Erik to a wedding and the rest is history.” And now, a couple of years later, their wedding date turned into a forever date.
A surprisingly warm fall day at Empeiria 110 in Rochester, Indiana spent getting ready with their bridal party before walking down the aisle in their beautiful outdoor ceremony site and seeing each other for the first time, then finishing off the night with dinner, amazing speeches, and tons of dancing to end their first evening together as husband and wife—this was Michaela & Parker’s special day.
A lucky sunnny morning spent getting ready with their favorite people privately followed by an even more beautiful afternoon wedding at The Old Gray Barn in Frankfort, Indiana, and finishing off the evening at their reception with best friends and family celebrating their first night together as husband and wife—this was Riley & Justin’s special day.
The Sanson family came back to the studio this year for another session for their little Halle girl. She turned two, so they wanted to memorialize the moment with some indoor studio photos as well as a few quick family photos outside.
It’s always a blast taking pictures of Tricia & Logan. We got together again for their complimentary anniversary session to celebrate one year of marriage! Around this time last year, they were entering the honeymoon phase after an amazing Halloween themed wedding. We still remember their special day with fond memories.
We love any opportunity to see past clients again. We previously took engagement and wedding photos for Kayleigh and Aaron, but this time they wanted to get together with Kayleigh’s family for some family portraits. We met them all at their parents’ new property in Rochester, Indiana. We walked their wooded paths, took pictures with their dogs, and even changed outfits for a few quick rivalry pictures between those of the family who are team Notre Dame and those that are team Purdue!
McKenzie & Nate had a beautiful wedding at The Barn at Sioux-Monti just outside of Monticello, Indiana. They got ready in the bridal suite on site and spent time with friends and family before their ceremony. After a touching first look under a beautiful tree and tons of fun pictures, they began their outdoor ceremony surrounded by those they cared about most. At sunset, they continued to celebrated their marriage by partying in the barn, eating good food, cutting their cake, and dancing the night away as husband and wife. This was McKenzie & Nate’s special day.
A gorgeous day a family barn in West Lafayette outside of Prophetstown State Park spent getting ready with their bridal party, sharing in intimate of first look moments, saying their personal vows privately before the actual ceremony, and then finishing off the night with dinner, amazing speeches, tons of dancing to end their first night together as husband and wife—this was Alisyn & Samuel’s special day.
Charlotte Faye is 1 year old! I can’t believe how quickly time flies. I remember like it was yesterday when we had this new bubbling family in our studio for newborn photos, then 6 month photos, and now 1 whole year. Charlie, you are so loved!
Lyndsey & Jacob met us at their grandparents’ property near Potato Creek State Park in South Bend, Indiana for their engagement session photos and video. They have chosen LVP Studios to document their wedding day with photo and video. Some of our video and bundle packages include amazing engagement videos that allow our couples to tell their story.
Elise & Jacob met us at the Indianapolis Art Center for their engagement session in which we filmed a beautiful video. They have chosen LVP Studios to document their wedding day with video. Some of our video packages include amazing engagement videos that allow our couples to tell their story. Elise & Jacob and their amazing photographer, Victoria of Victoria Hunt Photography, let us join their engagement photo session to capture some moments through video too.
Beth & Gil had a beautiful wedding at The Barn at Sioux-Monti just outside of Monticello, Indiana. They could not have asked for a better day as the sun was shining beautifully but it was not too hot. After a first touch around the barn doors without seeing each other, they began their outdoor ceremony surrounded my friends and family. As the sun began to set, they continued to celebrated their marriage by partying in the barn, eating good food, cutting their cake, and dancing the night away as husband and wife. This was Bethany & Gil’s special day.
These three are like family to me. It makes any session go so smooth when the girls know and trust me. They love making silly faces and laughing in front of the camera, and take direction really well which is so helpful! The Cambell girls have came to me for pictures 4 years in a row now. It’s crazy how much has changed, how much we have all grown, and what we have all learned in the past few years. I love that pictures like these can capture those moments.
Whitney & Corbin met us again for a couple’s session and this time brought also brought along another pup. Adding another furry friend to the family is always reason to get new pictures. Both dogs were such good pups and behaved quite well for a few photos with them. We love it when we can incorporate important parts of your life into your photos or videos. For Whitney & Corbin this meant including their dogs.
Our goal with every engagement session is to ensure you and your fiancé are comfortable in front of the camera before your wedding date. Also, having an engagement session prior to the big day makes your wedding day flow easier and gives you a preview of what to expect from us on your wedding day. Plus you get some stunning images that celebrate your time as an engaged couple.
A beautiful day at a personal residence in Winamac, Indiana sharing a special first look moment under their family’s oak trees, then finally walking down the aisle saying their precious vows in front of their closest family and friends in their backyard, and finishing off the night traveling to the Meeting Place Of Monterey (aka the old school) where they ate dinner, listened to many amazing speeches, and celebrated with tons of dancing on their first night together as husband and wife—this was Riley & Shawn’s special day.
We would have never thought to suggest the Indiana Dunes during the fall, but boy is it going to be on the top of my list from now on!! This session, this location, this day, was just magical. We all want those sunset glowy photos, but often times I find that an overcast day can actually create even better photos with smooth lighting and amazing white skies. That’s how it was for Emily & Trey’s engagement session. A beautiful overcast day on the beach in the fall at the Indiana Dunes State Park in Chesterton, Indiana.
A beautifully traditional ceremony starting at All Saints Catholic Church in Logansport, Indiana and then finishing off the night with a lively hispanic reception at The Gathering Place at the Old Mill with dinner, lots of speeches, mariachi music, and tons of dancing as husband and wife—this was Valeria & Ricardo’s special day.
This is our third year in a row with the Binkley Family. See their previous session here and here. We love seeing families year after year. It is a tradition of the Binkley family to hire a photographer every year for amazing pictures that capture the growth of all of the children and adults. As with previous years, I am honored that LVP Studios was chosen to be their photographer again this year. We had the opportunity to take family photos for the Binkley family at Five Buds Farm in North Judson, Indiana.
Elizabeth & Jeff met us at the Ogden Gardens in Valparaiso, Indiana for their engagement session photos and video. They have chosen LVP Studios to document their wedding day with photo and video. At LVP Studios we offer photography, videography, and package bundles to all of our couples who are getting married. Some of our packages include engagement videos like these ones that allow our couples to tell their story. This is a great time for us to get to know our couples a bit more. It also allows each of our couples the chance to get comfortable in front of the camera.
A beautiful summer day at New Journey Farms in Lafayette, Indiana spent getting ready with their bridal party, sharing an intimate first touch moment around a door, then finally seeing each other and saying their precious vows in front of their closest family and friends, and finishing off the night with dinner, amazing speeches, tons of dancing on their first night together as husband and wife—this was Kacie & Alex’s special day.
Smiles like these can really just make your heart skip a beat, am I right? This is Skylar, and he turned ONE earlier last month. We were so excited to have him in the studio again after previously taking his 6mo pictures. The first year of life is so fun because your little one is learning so much so quickly. Whenever we have the opportunity to take multiple sessions of milestone pictures, we feel so blessed to be able to document their growth like this.
Katie and Stone are going to make the absolute best parents to their little baby girl. They’re counting the weeks leading up to her arrival, and you can already tell that she’s just so loved. We met for their session at Davis Ferry Park in Lafayette, Indiana. It was a beautiful summer day with an amazing sunset. I am obsessed with Katie’s green outfits that perfectly showed off her growing bump.
A wedding and reception at The Barn on 400 in Anderson, Indiana. The weather was perfect, everyone looked stunning, and the love these two shared was blanketed by the love their family and friends have for them too. They each got ready in their own bridal suites before heading out for an intimate first look at a nearby park, then they began their ceremony which was one of the most beautiful and heart-felt we have ever witnessed. Afterwards, of course, they danced the night away as husband and wife—this was Kayleigh & Aaron’s special day.
an excited momma, Monica, and proud dad, Thad. After birth, they shared, “We are already so overwhelmed with how blessed we are to be her parents and can’t wait to watch her grow! We love you so much, baby girl.”
eighing 8 lbs 9 oz and measuring 20.5” of pure perfection to an excited momma, Courtney, and proud dad, Dylon. After birth, they shared, “Thank you all for the well wishes and congratulations! It is much appreciated. We’re all doing well all things considered!”
A morning spent getting ready with their favorite people, secretly hiding away not to ruin their special first look moment at Mill Creek Gardens in Winamac, followed by a rainy outdoor ceremony and umbrellas in the crowd, and finally finishing off the night with friends and family celebrating their first night together as husband and wife at The Knights of Columbus—this was Amber & Dalton’s special day.
celebrate one year of marriage! It’s crazy how quickly time flies—one year later and the Millers are now a party of three. Their anniversary session turned into a family session. It was so nice to actually take this session time to catch up, capture some fun photos of their new family, and laugh together as the sun set one warm evening.
We are so grateful to be able to see clients like the Dagenais Family year after year. This was our third session together, and we have literally been able to watch their children grow through these photos and video. Just like last year, we were able to get together for a warm summer session at Coffee Creek Watershed Preserve in Chesterton, Indiana.
How can two people be this gorgeous!? It’s always a pleasure taking pictures of Macie & Jordan. We got together again for their complimentary anniversary session to celebrate one year of marriage! Around this time last year, Macie was wrapping up all of the final details for their wedding and getting excited about marrying her high school sweetheart. We still remember their wedding with fond memories. It was so much fun doing this session again with them and chatting about their wedding one year later. As always, they make my job easy!
