Sofia & John met us at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana, for their engagement session on one of those warm, glowy evenings that photographers dream about. The kind of evening where the sunlight feels a little softer, the campus feels extra magical, and every moment seems to naturally fall into place.

Notre Dame’s most iconic locations

Thanks to John’s dad, a professor at the university, we had the unique opportunity to explore campus by golf cart, making it easy to visit several of Notre Dame’s most iconic locations while soaking in all the beauty the campus has to offer. From the timeless architecture of the Basilica of the Sacred Heart to the peaceful Grotto and the quiet pond tucked away among the trees, each location provided a stunning backdrop that perfectly complemented Sofia and John’s love story.

One of our favorite parts of the session was seeing how effortlessly these two carried themselves throughout the evening. They chose to stay in one classic outfit for the entire session, and it was the perfect choice. John looked incredibly sharp in a navy blue suit worn without a tie, creating a timeless and polished look that still felt relaxed and true to him. Sofia’s toile blue floral dress was absolutely stunning, bringing an elegant, romantic feel that paired beautifully with the historic charm of Notre Dame. Together, their outfits felt classic, sophisticated, and completely fitting for the setting.

Beyond the beautiful locations and gorgeous details, what stood out most was the way Sofia and John interacted with each other. The laughter, the quiet moments, and the way they naturally leaned into one another made documenting their relationship such a joy.
