It was a gorgeous classic wedding day spent with these college lovers at The Barn at Bay Horse in Greenwood, Indiana. They had an outdoor ceremony filled with elements of modern elegance and a touch of fall vibes. The day began getting ready in the onsite bridal and groom suits which led to their special first look moments outside along the tree line followed by a sentimental outdoor ceremony with the most heartfelt vows. Elise & Jacob finally finishing off the night with a spark filled grand entrance, some of the best speeches we’ve ever heard from friends and family, and the most epic limbo game to end their first evening together as husband and wife—this was Elise & Jacob’s special day.

Kari & Zach had a dream wedding day at the Gathering Place at The Old Mill in Twelve Mile, Indiana on a sunny fall day. Kari started her morning getting ready in the onsite Bridal Suites with their closest friends while Zach got dressed at home with all the guys. Afterwards, they shared a sweet first look moment, personal vows, and an intimate gift in private before walking down the aisle and sealing the deal as husband and wife. During the ceremony they participated in a ‘dirt ceremony’ in which they mixed dirt from each of their family farms, exchanged rings, and kissed for the first time as husband and wife. Kari & Zach continued to celebrated their marriage at their reception by dancing their first dance, cutting delicious cake, eating good food, and enjoying the night as husband and wife.

An intimate heartfelt day spent with these two at Mustard Seed Gardens in Noblesville, Indiana, for their timelessly classic peach and navy wedding outside by historic home and beautiful tree. The day began getting ready in the house and barn onsite which led to their special first look moment onsite by the iconic Mustard Seed Gardens’ tree followed by a gorgeous outdoor ceremony. Kelsi & Riley finally finishing off the night with good food, amazing speeches, and fun sunset photos to end their first evening together as husband and wife—this was Kelsi & Riley’s special day.

It was a memorable day on the at Promise Lane Park in Peru, Indiana, for this rustic orange and navy wedding outside by the corn field. The day began getting ready in the house and barn onsite which led to their special first look moment on the back barn stairs followed by a gorgeous outdoor ceremony. Alexa & Conner finally finishing off the night with good food, amazing speeches, and a sparkler send off to end their first evening together as husband and wife—this was Alexa & Conner’s special day.

We met the Swails Family for the first time at the Nature Center in the Tippecanoe River State Park for a fun family photo session. We previously had to reschedule due to rain and thank goodness we did because the back-up day we picked worked perfectly. Right at the end of the their session it started to sprinkle and it all felt like it was meant to be.

Kasie & Dalton wanted to turn their engagement session into a little bit of a family session too. Their daughter tagged along for a few photos and she was the cutest addition to their little love story. We met them at Fairfield Lakes Park for some photos surrounded by the beautiful autumn colors on one of the nicest days.

Mary and Travis Werner met us at the Tippecanoe River State Park just in time for this beautiful tree to really show off all of it’s stunning color. They told us they hadn’t taken professional photos together since their wedding and desperately needed some updated ones. We love seeing young couples doing great things together–it was so fun chatting and getting to know these two.

The Dalton Family met us at Fairfield Lakes Park for family photos to celebrate their little one turning one. We started the session with cute photos of their one year old in an adorable pink dress. These were quick little one year old photos tacked on to their family session. We offer milestone sessions, but by booking us for family photos Katie & Stone were able to knock out two sessions in one.

Riley & Justin shared their anniversary earlier this month. So, we got together again for their complimentary anniversary session to celebrate one year of marriage! They decided to do something really unique for their session and brought us out to their new home for photos and a cute outdoor date scene. It was gorgeous! It was so much fun doing this session with them and chatting about their wedding one year later. As always, they make my job so fun whenever we’re together!

Kiely & Cole met us at Davis Ferry Park in Lafayette, Indiana for a couple’s session with their dogs. They needed updated photos that included their entire little family. During their session we had a blast catching up, chatting about their jobs and life, and reminiscing on the last session we had together.

Judith & Diego had a traditional hispanic Catholic wedding in Frankfort, Indiana this past weekend. They started their days getting ready separately at their parents’ homes nearby. Judith was escorted to the church by a mariachi band where she finally got to see Diego as she walked down the aisle. After their traditional ceremony, everyone head to the Clinton County Fairgrounds where they were met with food, bands, and tons of dancing. Judith & Diego continued to celebrated their marriage by participating in some Hispanic traditions, cutting a cake, eating good food, and dancing the night away as husband and wife.

Extended family sessions on the beach can be a blast. One of our favorite locations is France Park in Logansport, Indiana because even on a chilly day (like it was for this session), we can still get stunning photos with beautiful color and sparkling water.

There’s nothing better than photographing your friends and their family. I have known the Dicksons since I was in grade school, so seeing them again for photos was such a fun way to reconnect and catch up. After their one hour session we spent at least another 45 minutes just chatting while hanging out at the Tippecanoe River State Park. 

It was a gorgeous day on the Valparaiso University Campus for this black tie wedding in the Chapel of Resurrection. The day began getting ready offsite in a nearby hotel followed by a gorgeous indoor ceremony which then led to fun photos at Ogden Gardens and finally finishing off the night by traveling to the Community Center in Knox, Indiana, for dinner, amazing speeches, and tons of dancing to end their first evening together as husband and wife—this was Alexis & Patrick’s special day.

Patricia & Isaac could not have asked for a more perfect day to get married. Not only was the weather amazing for mid-August, but their venue was absolutely stunning. They got married at The Wooded Knot in Tippecanoe, Indiana. Their ceremony was beautiful and special letter writing portion and plenty of adorable moments. Indoors at The Wooded Knot their elegantly decorated reception hall, they continued to celebrated their marriage by cutting a cake, eating good food, listening to amazing speeches, and dancing the night away as husband and wife.

Caroline & Jacob wanted wedding photos on the beach. These two love birds decided to tie the knot with an intimate vow ceremony at the Indiana Dunes National Park. We arrived bright and early one Saturday morning in an attempt to beat the crowds, and thankfully everything turned out perfect for just the two of them. They exchanged rings, kissed plenty, and enjoyed the warm August breeze off the lake as husband and wife.

You may have noticed his adorable face on our blog before because we’ve documented special moments in his life a few times now–his 6 month photos for him with his family and his one year old cake smash session that was full of color and a cake smash. And now, here’s his two year old birthday session themed around all of his favorite things: trains, tractors, and tents!!

Chelsea & Jaycob just shared their anniversary in June. So, we got together again for their complimentary anniversary session to celebrate one year of marriage! Around this time last year, they were entering the honeymoon phase after having us document their beautiful wedding. We still remember their special day with fond memories.

This was our FOURTH YEAR taking photos of the Dagenais family (our 3rd year at Coffee Creek Watershed with them). We love watching this family grow. From their daughter as a tiny little baby, to their kids now starting to attend school–time surely does fly by.

The Roberts family scheduled their session while they were all vacationing at an AirBnB in Logansport, Indiana with hundreds of acreage and a beautiful pond. What a perfect time to do an extended family session!! Their adorable (and growing) family was an absolute dream to work with which made the session easy, fun-filled, and contained tons of chit-chats and laughter.

Emily & Trey started their wedding day by getting ready privately before heading to their ceremony venue at Valle Vista Golf Club and Conference Center in Greenwood, Indiana. They shared a special first look moment on the front portico and afterwards declared their vows to one another too. Then their ceremony was beautiful and included a horse drawn carriage, golf cart limousines, and a bubble get-away send off directly into their reception. In the classically decorated reception hall, they continued to celebrated their marriage by cutting a cake, eating good food, listening to amazing speeches, and dancing the night away as husband and wife.

This boy was truly on the move our entire session. He was happy, energetic, and so confident. We last saw Maddox for his studio newborn photos almost one year ago now! It’s wild how quickly time flies because here we are seeing him again for his one year old milestone session and it feels like yesterday that he was a tiny little baby swaddled up snoozing away.

Jessica & Kevin started their engagement session with us outside of Fowler House in Lafayette, Indiana, but because of an electricity issue we were unable to go inside the beautiful mansion. This led us to travel to Fairfield Lakes Park (a tried and true location for us) to end the session with stunning outdoor sunset photos. We enjoyed chatting together, talking about their relationship, and getting to know each other more behind the camera too.

Welcome to the world Logan White. He was an absolute dream to photograph during his in-home newborn session at their personal residence in Knox, Indiana on Bass Lake. Mom, Brittany, and dad, Matt, were so thrilled that he slept the entire time and was as relaxed as a precious angel. What a blessing it is to welcome a new little one into a family with amazing newborn photos. We adored our time with the Whites and their new baby boy, Logan.

Someone’s getting a promotion… our “little assistant” is being promoted to “big brother assistant!” We’re adding a new member to the LVP Studios team coming December 2023. We’re so excited for our family to be growing. And we couldn’t wait any longer to share it all with you. You guys, our clients, are like family to us—and news like this is something we struggled to keep a secret. Some of you already knew, and we’re sure someone of you could have guessed once we started teasing on Instagram about a surprise coming.

This super smiley family met us at the Tippecanoe River State park for photos this past weekend, and honestly, they made every moment so easy to capture. From little kids to grown kids to even including their dogs, we were able to document all of the love that they all share together.

Lacey & James were an absolute dream to shoot photos of at Hamstra Gardens earlier this week. We met them for their engagement photos at the beautiful gardens on one of the best weather days this year. We all laughed, enjoyed chatting, and honestly had the greatest time taking stunning photos that felt like a fairytale dream.

Judith & Diego have known each other since a young age because they grew up from nearby towns in Mexico. When they were both in High School, Diego became good friends with Judith’s brother. When he was around, Diego would try to talk to Judith but she didn’t think it was anything serious. He was persistent though and started to ask her out on dates. Judith told us, “Finally I went out with him in my senior year of high school. And after like 2 years of him trying to convince me, we started dating.” And now, they’re getting married!!

The Huber family was so fun to take photos of, and we are overjoyed to have had the opportunity to document this special time in this growing family’s life. Originally we had planned to have their session at the local state park; however, at the last second we decided to switch to a personal property that sentimentally meant more to them. And I’m so glad we did!! The entire session was stunning.

Emily & Erik had their April wedding at New Journey Farms in Lafayette, Indiana one rainy day. Their venue was perfect for a spring shower day because the indoor setting was absolutely stunning. After getting ready in their private on-site bridal suits, Emily & Erik shared a special first touch moment and then saw each other for the first time as she approached him down the aisle. While the weather was sporadically wet and cold it cooperated enough for us to even get some photos outside. As the sun began to set, they continued to celebrated their marriage by partying indoors, eating good food, cutting their cake, and dancing the night away as husband and wife with an amazing band.

We traveled to downtown Chicago on a rainy April weekend and met up with Patricia & Isaac for their engagement pictures. We saw the bean in Millennium Park, went to beautiful gardens, and had to take a stroll down the Lakefront Trail. Even though it was a bit chilly and sprinkled on us the entire session, these two were troupers and even looked adorable under their clear umbrella.

Engagement pictures on one of the warmest days in April made everything feel meant to be for Makayla & Christopher. They met us at Hamstra Gardens in Wheatfield, Indiana for their complimentary engagement session.

Why do photographers love a good sunrise or sunset moment? There are many reasons including lighting, stylistic options, and evenness of tones. Shadows are often better during a sunrise or sunset and placement of subjects (aka you, the client) can create glowing interest with rays of sunbeams in the background. Given the winter storm that happened the day before, the weather cooperated beautifully enough for us to even get some photos outside. After getting ready in their private on-site bridal suits with jean jackets and cowboy boots, Lyndsey & Jacob saw each other for the first time as she approached him down the aisle. As the sun began to set, they continued to celebrated their marriage by partying indoors, eating good food, cutting their cake, and dancing the night away as husband and wife.

Leland has been coming back to our studio year after year for all of his birthday pictures. This year he turned 3 years old!! Boy, how does time fly? This little ball of energy was so fun to have over again, and we love watching him grow. We’ve documented his 6 month photos for him with his family, his 9 month photos in the studio during Christmas time, his one year old cake smash session that was themed around fishing, his second birthday with a “two the moon” theme, and now this session where we commemorated him turning THREE.

This year was honestly our most fun year ever. It’s crazy how much we all grow year after year, but this was the year we felt like it was less about growing and more about enjoying. We truly loved every single wedding, session, milestone, etc., that we got to be a part of. As our business continues to help families and couples capture life’s important milestones with photos and videos we are continually reminded of why we do what we do. We love that we can be a part of memorializing each of our clients’ special days, but also that we can do this together as a family too. This is our first full season with a little one (now a toddler) at our side, and while the learning curve was steap, we were constantly made aware of our reason behind doing all of this. This blog post is dedicated to all of you who helped support our little growing family in 2022 and continued to give us hope for achieving our dreams.

It was early, gloomy, and cold, but these two sure do clean up nice! Kylee and Jacob met us at the Carmel Christkindlmarkt before they opened in the morning for some beautiful holiday themed engagement photos. We had the entire Christmas Market to ourselves, and enjoyed taking our time taking pictures surrounded by all of the lights and holiday decorations.

This family braved the cold. We were only outside for a few quick minutes before rushing into the studio for more portraits of the kids, but what we were able to accomplish so quickly makes it all worth it. This is why we love having our studio on this amazing property–we’ve got plenty of open landscape and even access to the river!

Let me introduce you to Emily & Erik. They met me at France Park to brave the cold for their engagement session. During their session we talked about how they met and Emily said, “We met through mutual friends, I asked Erik to a wedding and the rest is history.” And now, a couple of years later, their wedding date turned into a forever date.

The Sanson family came back to the studio this year for another session for their little Halle girl. She turned two, so they wanted to memorialize the moment with some indoor studio photos as well as a few quick family photos outside.

It’s always a blast taking pictures of Tricia & Logan. We got together again for their complimentary anniversary session to celebrate one year of marriage! Around this time last year, they were entering the honeymoon phase after an amazing Halloween themed wedding. We still remember their special day with fond memories.

We love any opportunity to see past clients again. We previously took engagement and wedding photos for Kayleigh and Aaron, but this time they wanted to get together with Kayleigh’s family for some family portraits. We met them all at their parents’ new property in Rochester, Indiana. We walked their wooded paths, took pictures with their dogs, and even changed outfits for a few quick rivalry pictures between those of the family who are team Notre Dame and those that are team Purdue!

Charlotte Faye is 1 year old! I can’t believe how quickly time flies. I remember like it was yesterday when we had this new bubbling family in our studio for newborn photos, then 6 month photos, and now 1 whole year. Charlie, you are so loved!

These three are like family to me. It makes any session go so smooth when the girls know and trust me. They love making silly faces and laughing in front of the camera, and take direction really well which is so helpful! The Cambell girls have came to me for pictures 4 years in a row now. It’s crazy how much has changed, how much we have all grown, and what we have all learned in the past few years. I love that pictures like these can capture those moments.

Whitney & Corbin met us again for a couple’s session and this time brought also brought along another pup. Adding another furry friend to the family is always reason to get new pictures. Both dogs were such good pups and behaved quite well for a few photos with them. We love it when we can incorporate important parts of your life into your photos or videos. For Whitney & Corbin this meant including their dogs.

I am obsessed with Katie’s green outfits that perfectly showed off her growing bump.

The weather was perfect, everyone looked stunning, and the love these two shared was blanketed by the love their family and friends have for them too. They each got ready in their own bridal suites before heading out for an intimate first look at a nearby park, then they began their ceremony which was one of the most beautiful and heart-felt we have ever witnessed. Afterwards, of course, they danced the night away as husband and wife—this was Kayleigh & Aaron’s special day.

It was so nice to actually take this session time to catch up, capture some fun photos of their new family, and laugh together as the sun set one warm evening.

This was our third session together, and we have literally been able to watch their children grow through these photos and video. Just like last year, we were able to get together for a warm summer session at Coffee Creek Watershed Preserve in Chesterton, Indiana.

How can two people be this gorgeous!? It’s always a pleasure taking pictures of Macie & Jordan. We got together again for their complimentary anniversary session to celebrate one year of marriage! Around this time last year, Macie was wrapping up all of the final details for their wedding and getting excited about marrying her high school sweetheart. We still remember their wedding with fond memories. It was so much fun doing this session again with them and chatting about their wedding one year later. As always, they make my job easy!

Evelyn is family! She’s our cousin’s littlest girl, and the closest cousin in age to our son, Greysen, at only about 3 weeks apart. We get together nearly every week for a play date, so when Evelyn turned 9 months old we decided to go ahead and snap some cute pictures during our playdate time. We of course had to get some pics with mommy and sis, before we put on her Purdue gear, and beautiful white dress, and then later into a milk bath of oranges and grapefruit.

he weather called for rain, but Brittany & Paul had the good fortune of mostly clouds and sun on their day. They spent the morning getting ready with their bridal party before heading to the church to begin their catholic ceremony at Our Lady of Mount Carmel. After saying their covenantal “I Dos” they headed to Coxhall Gardens for outdoor photos of their happily married bliss. Finally, they finished off the evening at The Bluffs at Connor Prairie with best friends and family celebrating their first night together as husband and wife—this was Brittany & Paul’s special day.

A beautiful day at The Sixpence in Whitestown, Indiana spent getting ready with their bridal party, sharing in loads of first look moments, saying their precious vows in front of their closest family and friends, and then finishing off the night with dinner, amazing speeches, tons of dancing, and riding off in a vintage car for their first night together as husband and wife—this was Madison & Chas’s special day.

These two are goofy. And as the saying goes, “love is someone you can be silly with.” I love taking their photos because we can always laugh together, capture that perfect sultry shot, and then banter back and forth, all within a matter of 3 minutes, haha!! I got together again with Nichole and Zach Duplay for their complimentary anniversary session to celebrate one year of marriage! While I’ve seen them maybe a few times since their wedding last year, it was so nice to actually take this session time to catch up, capture some fun photos, and laugh together as the sun set. They make my job easy!

You’re always deserving of a photoshoot on your birthday. Levi and his family came to us to document Levi’s 7th birthday which photos of him. We were able to walk around the Nature Center at the Tippecanoe River State Park and get pictures of Levi to document his growth. Our favorite photos are the ones of him in his sunglasses.

I need to start this post by saying: I narrowed down a gallery of almost 150 images to these few you see in the blog. While I do this with every session, something about this one just felt so much harder. I wanted to keep every single one of Charlotte’s cute little scrunched up faces, I wanted to showcase all of her silly expressions, and I couldn’t bear to remove any photos even though I know that to most they would feel like duplicate images. Mckenzie & Nate “go back years” as they say. High school sweethearts turned long term relationship! They shared with us how being together for over eight years has brought them lots of ever changing love, learning, and continued commitment to one another. McKenzie told us that she’s “most excited about FINALLY being married!” And to celebrate their engagement and upcoming wedding, we got together for some beautiful, flower-filled engagement photos at Ogden Gardens in Valparaiso, Indiana.

Happy birthday to this cute 1 year old!! Rhett turned ONE a week after these photos were taken, and we were so happy to have him in the studio to celebrate with pictures and a cupcake. You may notice that we like to keep our sessions as clean and minimal as possible, and we lean towards using our white backdrop almost every time we’re in the studio. This is because we believe that your photos should be captured authentically, with you and your little ones as the center-piece. But most importantly, we believe that your photos should be timeless and using clean and minimal aesthetics does just that.

We have made a commitment to support One Tree Planted, a nonprofit organization determined to restore forests, create habitat for biodiversity, and make a positive social impact around the world. For every wedding, family session, etc. booked with us we will be donating one dollar to One Tree Planted.

We’re at that age where it seems that everyone we know is having babies… and we especially love when we get to see previous wedding clients having babies!!! Around this time last year we were celebrating Brooke & Alan’s wedding, and now we’re celebrating their pregnancy and future son! We can’t wait to meet their little one.

This smiley boy is Skylar. He was the cutest, happiest boy for his minimal milestone photos at The LVP Studio in Northern Indiana. After 6 months of learning to laugh, growing big and strong, and so much love from grandparents, the Hintz family stopped by our studio for milestone photos. We love that we were able to capture his new ability to sit with our clean and simple backdrop. At LVP Studios we try to keep the focus on you and your little one’s growth because that’s what these milestone sessions are all about.

nd get comfortable before snapping any pictures. Once he got warmed up with me and the LVP Studio I was able to learn he loves to walk, he can babble, like to play peek-a-boo with mom and dad, and of course loves to play with balloons.

A chilly winter day in Delphi at the Parish House on Union spent getting ready with their closest friends and family, saying their vows in a gorgeous historic church with stained glass windows, and finally finishing off dancing together as husband and wife—this was Ashton & Christopher’s wedding day.

Documenting those important milestones of your little one are so fun. Brody and his mama came into the studio right around his first birthday. At The LVP Studio in Northern Indiana we focus on minimal and clean backdrops. We love that we were able to capture the Brody’s mouth open smile, watch him practice standing, and of course get pictures of all of those ornery little faces he makes. Keeping all of the focus on you and your little one’s growth is what these milestone sessions are all about.

Often people shy away from winter photos (unless there’s snow on the ground), but this year we have been lucky because the beginning of the season weather has been quite mild. We were able to get together with this big bunch, the Smith family, for family photos. They were such a fun, loving, and care free group which made this winter sunset session a breeze.

We love all of our couples, but we especially love when we get to work with them over and over again. We’ve been able to do family photos, engagement photos, wedding photos, and more for these two!! Before the new year, we got together again with Mandy and Coty Singleton for their complimentary anniversary session to celebrate one year of marriage!

Little Halle came by the studio for some absolutely adorable 1yo pictures. Of course she came sporting her favorite bell bottom pants and tons of pink & cow print. She showed us how she could stand and even let me play with her little stuffed cow.

8 lbs. 12 oz. and measuring 22.5 inches to an excited momma, Alexis, and proud dad, Dylan Swartzell. After birth, they shared, “Momma and little miss are doing well. Dad is a rockstar.”

An overcast fall day spent getting ready with their bridal party at NV Salon before their special first look moment followed by an even more beautiful and indoor wedding at Meadow Springs in Francesville, Indiana, decorated with black draper, pampas grass, and elegant greenery. Then they finished off the evening at their reception with best friends and family celebrating their first night together as husband and wife with fireworks—this was Tricia & Logan’s special day.

Logansport. Just like last year, I was so excited to see Emily and her girls’ names pop up on my calendar again. This was our third year in a row doing pictures together. They were a blast to take pictures with last year, and the year before, and the same was true this time around. I’m hoping to see them for pictures every fall season–how fun would that be??

We all want those sunset glowy photos, but often times I find that an overcast day can actually create even better photos with smooth lighting and amazing white skies. I love being able to take more risks and photograph differently during overcast days when you don’t have to worry about a glaring sun. That’s how it was for Amber & Dalton’s engagement session. We’ll travel for your wedding or engagement session! We love to travel to new locations that we’ve never shot at before. That’s what we did with Kayleigh & Aaron. They wanted to do their engagement session at Coxhall Gardens in Carmel, Indiana, and we’re so glad they did—it was a gorgeous evening and a stunning sunset.

Engagement sessions are some of our favorite shoots because we get to take the time to get to know our future wedding couples even more! We met with Kacie & Alex at Fairfield Lakes Park just outside of Lafayette one weekend for a fun engagement session with their pup! Kacie & Alex will be getting married next summer at New Journey Farms in Dayton and have chosen LVP Studios to document their special day with photo and video! We can’t wait to share more of their love story.
