We love seeing the Keller family every year. Little Amyra is not so little any more, and Maddox loves running around and keeping everyone on their toes. Even though I know Courtney would tell you that the session felt chaotic, we were able to get these amazing family photos in between moments of Maddox sprinting in the opposite direction.
Courtney and her daughter, Amyra, were one of our first photo clients back when we started expanding our business. Then we did a fall mini session with Courtney, Amyra, and Dylon. A couple years later Maddox joined them and we were honored to host their family at our studio for his newborn photos. And then again a year later we saw Maddox at the studio for his one year old cake smash session. Needless to say, I was thrilled to yet again hear from Courtney and her family and set up a time to do fall family photos for them at Fairfield Lakes Park.
In this blog post about “5 Reasons to get Family Photos Every Year” we talk about how photos allow us to document growth and change. Seeing Courtney and her family again for another year is proof of just that. Photographers have a superpower—we can freeze time! Families grow and change so fast. Yearly photos capture changes in our lives. They capture who you are at this point in time. Too often we can forget about our past. We can forget how cute our children were when they were little and before you know it they are off to college or getting married and having children of their own. It is important to document their growth and how our families have changed.
