Sofia & John celebrated their marriage with a beautiful Saturday wedding at Fair Oaks Farm in Northern Indiana. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, their day was an intimate ranchero-inspired celebration filled with meaningful traditions, delicious food, and plenty of fun surprises.

A Notre Dame Engagement Session

Thanks to John’s dad, a professor at the university, we had the unique opportunity to explore campus by golf cart, making it easy to visit several of Notre Dame’s most iconic locations while soaking in all the beauty the campus has to offer. From the timeless architecture of the Basilica of the Sacred Heart to the peaceful Grotto and the quiet pond tucked away among the trees, each location provided a stunning backdrop that perfectly complemented Sofia and John’s love story.

Fair Oaks Farm micro-wedding

The couple began the day getting ready separately in their private hotel rooms before traveling to their offsite wedding venue. One of Fair Oaks Farm’s newer wedding offerings, this outdoor venue is especially perfect for couples planning a smaller or more intimate wedding. With its rustic setting and beautiful open-air atmosphere, it created the perfect backdrop for Sofia and John’s celebration.

As guests arrived, they were ushered to the outdoor ceremony site, where rows of seating faced a fenced-in horse arena. The setting felt uniquely fitting for their ranchero-inspired wedding and gave the ceremony a relaxed, rustic Indiana feel. After exchanging vows, Sofia and John incorporated the traditional el lazo ceremony into their wedding. This meaningful tradition symbolizes the unity of the couple and added an especially personal touch to their ceremony.

A suprise fash mob!

Following the ceremony, guests gathered beneath a beautifully decorated white tent for the reception. The evening featured delicious family-style food, giving everyone plenty of time to relax, eat, and celebrate together. But the surprises didn’t stop there! Guests were treated to an unexpected flash mob that brought plenty of energy and excitement to the reception.

As the evening continued, Sofia and John kept the celebration going with late-night ice cream and pizza bars, the perfect treats to end a memorable wedding day. From the intimate setting and ranchero-inspired details to the heartfelt traditions and unforgettable reception surprises, Sofia and John’s Fair Oaks Farm wedding was a beautiful celebration of their new beginning.
