We got together with this family of five early one Sunday morning for a chilly sunrise session at the Tippecanoe River State Park before heading over to The LVP Studio for some quick studio pictures of their three boys. I’ve gotten to hang out with them all a few times now for pictures and it’s always a blast!

It’s always a good session when I have the hardest time picking out just a few images to share. The Heims crew is actually family, so getting together to take photos after the birth of Nicole & Tyler’s newest little one was a real treat. It was nice to catch up and see the entire family at the Tippecanoe River State Park.

These are the cutest minimal milestone photos at The LVP Studio in Northern Indiana for baby Oliver. After 6 months of happy giggles, wide eyes, and so much growth, the Bahler family stopped by our studio for milestone photos. We love that we were able to capture the sparkle in Oliver’s eyes with this clean and simple backdrop. Keeping all of the focus on you and your little one’s growth is what these milestone sessions are all about.

Brittany first reached out to us when she found out she was pregnant. We had also just recently found out that we were pregnant too, so the baby fever was so high between us! We were super excited to be sharing these moments of great change with one another. Brittany wanted us to document their gender reveal and capture this important memory with photo and video to use as a their announcement online.

These two are such a gorgeous couple! I mean, come on?! How can you get any more perfect? We met them at Fairfield Lakes Park in Lafayette, Indiana, one glowy evening. The sun was just beginning to set but had a beautiful haze of clouds that allowed for the most dreamy of pictures. A couple hours before the sun sets is a perfect time to get pictures. This is what is called “Golden Hour” and creates gorgeously glowing pictures. And to top it all off Fairfield Lakes Park is quickly becoming one of our favorite places to get those warm toned and beautiful images for engagement pictures. Just perfect.

Our favorite part about being photographers and videographers is capturing precious moments and memories like these. We love that we can create relationships that bring life long clients so that we can watch them grow. It’s such a humbling thing to be a part of and an exciting thing for us to continue to document for your families.

We’re adding a new member to the LVP Studios team coming September 2021! Trevor and I are so excited to become parents this fall. We’ve actually shared the news via email with all of our 2021 brides because we wanted to reassure everyone that most couples are not affected by this, and we have plans in place for those that fall near our due date. We have received so many sweet and supportive messages back from our LVP Couples, and we can’t thank you all enough for celebrating this new journey with us.

An intimate winter wedding event at the Mill Creek Gardens bed and breakfast in Winamac, Indiana, walking down the aisle at their nearby Church of the Heartland surrounded lovingly by only their closest friends and family, proceeding with a touching first look moment down a grand staircase, and ending the night with meaningful speeches, good food, the best company, and a chilly sparkler send off—this was Haley & Trent’s special day.

Right before the snow started to melt I met these two at the Tippecanoe River State Park just outside of Winamac, Indiana for a winter wonderland engagement session. It was the best day—the sun shining, the brisk cold starting to lift, and the white snow glistening in every photo. They were troupers too as we pretended to be warm, walked down trails that had not been shoveled, and laughed it off as we all got snow in our shoes. I couldn’t have asked for a better session with Brooke & Alan.

This family committed to a hike with me… it was amazing!! We hiked maybe a mile into a trail at the Tippecanoe River State Park to take some breath taking photos in a pine tree forest. While we also hit up some of my tried and true spots at the park, I was so thankful that they were willing to walk a bit along a trail to let me take some stunning pine tree forest pictures.

Who are our winter fans? We know that the snowy season can be a beautiful time to take family pictures, but often people are scared of the cold. We all want to take cute pictures, but often don’t feel super cute all bundled up in our puffy winter coat, scarves wrapped up to our ears, and silly hats on. But we’re here to say that beautiful looking family pictures in the snow are still possible—and we have 3 tips for you!
