A warm fall morning spent getting ready with their favorite people before their special first look moment followed by an even more beautiful and sunny afternoon wedding at the Farmhouse in Fair Oaks, Indiana, and finishing off the evening at their reception with best friends and family celebrating their first night together as husband and wife—this was Tara & David’s special day.

We all want those sunset glowy photos, but often times I find that an overcast day can actually create even better photos with smooth lighting and amazing white skies. I love being able to take more risks and photograph differently during overcast days when you don’t have to worry about a glaring sun. That’s how it was for Amber & Dalton’s engagement session. We’ll travel for your wedding or engagement session! We love to travel to new locations that we’ve never shot at before. That’s what we did with Kayleigh & Aaron. They wanted to do their engagement session at Coxhall Gardens in Carmel, Indiana, and we’re so glad they did—it was a gorgeous evening and a stunning sunset.

Engagement sessions are some of our favorite shoots because we get to take the time to get to know our future wedding couples even more! We met with Kacie & Alex at Fairfield Lakes Park just outside of Lafayette one weekend for a fun engagement session with their pup! Kacie & Alex will be getting married next summer at New Journey Farms in Dayton and have chosen LVP Studios to document their special day with photo and video! We can’t wait to share more of their love story.

hese images. If you need a good photo pose idea hit her up. But in all seriousness, Courtney, Dylon, and Amyra’s mini session was so fun! Amyra came with the sass and the style, and Courtney and Dylon of course were the most supportive and sweetest.

A beautiful day at The Volek Barn and Vineyard in Beecher, Illinois spent getting ready with their bridal party, saying their personal and sentimental vows in front of their closest family and friends, and then finishing off the night with dinner, amazing speeches, tons of dancing, and enjoying their first night together as husband and wife—this was Sadie & Nathan’s special day.

October was a busy month for us with sessions! We had the opportunity to meet with so many engaged couples for their engagement sessions. When I asked Riley & Justin how they had heard about us the told us about a few of our past LVP Couples and future LVP Couples that they knew. We love that we can continue to serve those family and friends that come to these weddings and see our work. Riley & Justin are getting married next October at the Old Gray Barn where we will be photographing and video recording the event, but for now, we came together for some epic engagement pictures at their venue.

Talk about couple goals! These two were absolutely adorable (and of course their pup, too). Whitney & Corbin wanted to get together for a couple’s photo session so that they could have some pictures to put around their house that weren’t “just selfies” as Whitney told us. We were more than happy to meet them at Hamstra Gardens for a gorgeous sunset session!

Bethany and Gil wanted to be sure to capture many of the important things in their life during their engagement session. To them this meant starting the session at their farm before traveling to Lafayette to wrap up the sunset at Purdue University. The family farm included time with Gil’s sheep, Bethany’s horse, and of course their two dogs. Then at Purdue, we walked around campus to important spots like the place where they met, the bell tower where he proposed, and so many other special locations in West Lafayette.

I wish there was a better term to use instead of just “photographers.” You know that we’re a photography and videography team, but we’re also memory keeping experts of all kinds. Photographer just doesn’t seem like an all encompassing word for us. Our job is to contain the essence of what is you and bottle it into a perfect photo or memorable video that can last a lifetime. So, while we focus on documenting you and your family with beautiful photos and videos, we love helping anyone document their memories in whatever way possible.
