Lyndsey & Jacob met us at their grandparents’ property near Potato Creek State Park in South Bend, Indiana for their engagement session photos and video. Distance makes the heart grow fonder

Every relationship has their own challenges, and these two thrived through them all–even long distance and long times apart. After Lyndsey & Jacob’s first date at Dairy Queen in Delphi Jacob had to leave for school in Texas just two months later. Lyndsey told us that when he graduated and came back home they “hit it off and the rest is history.” Jacob now has a job out in the middle of the ocean and is often gone for weeks at a time, but nothing keeps these two from being madly in love.

Jacob told us that one of his favorite things about Lyndsey is her drive. “She’s always got her goals going for her,” he said. While Jacob is away he knows that Lyndsey is thriving on her own, striving to keep busy, and always accomplishing more. Because of this, their time apart flys by quickly, and the two are back together before they know it.

When he proposed she splashed him in the face

A proposal was not what Lyndsey was expecting when she was swimming in a pool this past summer. With all of their friends and family surrounding them, Jacob asked Lyndsey to come to the edge of the pool where he knelt down and showed her a ring. Right then and there she splashed him in the face and thought he was kidding. Little did she know that he was serious and this was the start of the next chapter in their lives.

They’re both excited to have this day together and be with all of their friends and family! Lyndsey & Jacob will be getting married in March at Gathering Acres in Lafayette, Indiana. We know that these two are counting the days that their family and friends can all get together while they finally say their “I Do’s”
