It has been such an honor to capture Alyssa & Matt’s love story, and their relationship is one of those stories that just feels meant to be. The two met on a Christian dating app, and just three days later, they were sitting across from each other on their first date. From the very beginning, there was an ease between them that made everything feel natural.

Finally found someone

Their connection was built on open honesty, friendship, and the freedom to simply be themselves. In fact, they described their relationship perfectly: “It did not feel forced. It did not feel like pretending. It felt like two people who had finally found someone they could simply be themselves with.” And honestly, that is exactly how they felt together during their engagement session.

Before they were even officially engaged, Matt reached out to us about photographing their wedding. That alone says so much about how certain these two were about the future they were building together. They knew they had found something special, and it was such a joy to photograph this season of their story.

A Garden Engagement session

For their engagement session, we met at Hamstra Gardens in Northern Indiana, a beautiful garden venue filled with lush greenery, colorful blooms, charming pathways, and plenty of romantic spots for portraits. The natural setting was the perfect backdrop for Alyssa & Matt’s engagement photos, giving them space to slow down, enjoy one another, and simply be together.

As a Northern Indiana engagement photographer and wedding photographer, these are the stories we love most: couples who genuinely enjoy each other, who feel like best friends, and who are excited about the life they are creating together. We cannot wait to see this story continue as Alyssa & Matt become husband and wife!
