Tori & Tyler will be getting married later this year at Ross Camp. We will be doing photos and video at their winter wonderland themed wedding in December and can’t wait for their big day! In the meantime, we thought it was the perfect opportunity to really get to know one another by doing some sunset engagement photos at France Park in Logansport, Indiana.
A couple hours before the sun sets is a perfect time to get pictures. This is what is called “Golden Hour” and creates gorgeously glowing pictures. We love a mix between sharp images, as well as some with haze and lens flares with a bit of creative pizzaz. France Park is quickly becoming another one of our favorite places to shoot engagement sessions because of the breathtaking views and plentiful opportunities.
From “just friends” to forever sweethearts
Tori & Tyler met in middle school, at which time Tori says they “were just friends back then.” During her senior year of high-school, and Tyler’s junior year, Tori decided to pull the ‘my friend likes this guy, but doesn’t know how to tell him’ thing. He, very obviously, figured that out which led to them talking and flirting around Halloween time.
On Christmas night, that year, Tyler asked Tori out officially! She told us, “I moved in with him and his family basically right away, which was very unconventional due to our ages and that we were both still in school. We’ve lived in many different places before getting our current home, that we are buying, and I wouldn’t have wanted to make this journey with anyone else.”
For the proposal, Tyler went to many members of Tori’s family and even some of her close friends to record him asking for permission. He had his his sister put together a video of all of these records (how freakin’ adorable, am I right?). Later, he toted along a projector to have Tori watch the video on and end the night with having Tori turn around to him on one knee… well, not quite. Tori jokingly told me that that was how the proposal was supposed to go, but as well all know, things don’t always go according to plan. Tyler actually hit a bump in the road and the projector wouldn’t work properly for him, so he had Tori watch the video on his phone. She says, “It was still perfect.”
Stay tuned for Tori and Tyler’s December 2020 wedding!!
A brisk winter wedding is the perfect time for these two to get married. We love the idea of their Winter wonderland theme with colors like white, silver, light grey, dark grey, and some blues. We will be photographing and filming their special day. We know that these two are counting the days that their family and friends can all get together while they finally say their “I Do’s”
