Kylee & Jacob became husband and wife during a beautiful ceremony at Black Iris Estates in Carmel, Indiana. They started their day by getting ready with their closest friends and family at a nearby AirBnB before traveling to the venue site for their wedding ceremony and reception. They shared a tear jerking first look under the gazebo onsite before reading each other their private vows. During their ceremony they exchanged rings, lit a candle, and finally made it official with their first kiss as husband and wife. Kylee & Jacob continued to celebrated their marriage at their reception by eating good food, cutting a cake, and having a sweet first dance together.
The definition of opposites attract
Kylee & Jacob met when she was a senior in college and he had just graduated. They only lived 45 minutes apart and matched on Tinder during the summer. They joked about their Tinder beginnings during their engagement session and said, “His pick up line was making fun of me for being afraid of birds.” Fast forward to their first date and Kylee told us that he barely kissed her goodnight, and she figured he wasn’t interested. That was almost 4.5 years ago, and now they haven’t gone a day without talking since.
When we asked them to describe themselves and their relationship they said, “we are polar opposites.” Jacob is quiet and calm, and Kylee told us she was anxious and outgoing. But then they repeated, “We are the perfect match.” Other fun things about these two is that they are huge homebodies who prefer to be home together with their cats. Chatting with them so far we’ve learned that we will hear A LOT about Kylee and Jacob’s cats in the next year—which we don’t mind because we’re animal lovers too!! Kylee even told us, “We love our cats, almost as much as we love each other, maybe more.”
Kylee & Jacob’s December wedding went perfectly. From the moment they started getting ready these two were nothing but happy and excited. Kylee got ready with the help of all of her bridesmaids while Jacob enjoyed getting suited up with his groomsmen.
After a first look with her dad and her brothers, Kylee walked outside to the iron gazebo where she would share a special first look with Jacob in private. The moment he saw her he grinned from ear to ear. During this time they shared their vows and enjoyed some special alone time together before the festivities began.
Their indoor ceremony and reception were classically decorated with bits of wintery themed cheer spread about. As the night went on Kylee & Jacob continued to celebrated their marriage by eating good food, cutting a cake, and having a sweet first dance together.
