A warm summer morning spent getting ready with their favorite people before their special first look moment followed by an even more beautiful and sunny afternoon wedding at The Old Gray Barn in Frankfort, Indiana, and finishing off the evening at their reception with best friends and family celebrating their first night together as husband and wife—this was Macie & Jordan’s special day.
High school sweethearts!
When you book a wedding with us we always meet for coffee beforehand. This is the time when we can get to know each other a bit more, talk about what you envision on your wedding day, and discuss all of the details about you and your soon to be spouse. During our initial meeting when I asked Macie how her and Jordan met she told me, “We met in high school when I was a freshman and he was a junior.” And then she went on to say that they have been together ever since (awww)!
Later at their engagement session, I was able to meet Jordan. At that time I asked him how he proposed. He told me that he asked the big question last August at France park where he had all their family hiding to see it. Macie says, “It was beautiful!” She was actually really surprised too because Jordan pulled the whole thing off last minute. He got his sister to say she needed to “practice taking photographs” so set up a whole shoot for Macie to be the star. Then Jordan showed up to ask her to marry him and the whole thing was caught on camera. You can read more about their engagement story and see their engagement photos on our blog here.
An outdoor barn wedding
Macie & Jordan got married at The Old Gray Barn in Frankfort, Indiana. They started their morning in the lower part of the barn where the groomsmen and bridal suites are. They spend the morning getting ready with all of their favorite people before sharing a special first look moment out under the trees. As Macie approached Jordan he turned around to see her for the first time. Elated to be together they hugged and kissed and Macie started to tear up. Jordan said, “You can’t cry!” and Macie replied, “I already have been.”
After their first look together, Macie & Jordan traveled to their ceremony site in the back woods near The Old Gray Barn. They stood under the wooden steeple and said their vows before sharing a kiss and ringing the bell signifying their marriage. The setting sun was peaking through the trees during this time and the glow about them was simply magical.
Later that evening, Macie & Jordan celebrated their first night as husband and wife at the reception in the upstairs part of the barn. They shared in good food, lots of dance, and precious speeches with their closest friends and family.
