Taylor & Zachary had a chilly summer wedding on a Friday at Jasper County Fairground in Rensselaer, Indiana. Taylor started her morning by getting ready with her closest friends and family in the community building at the fairgrounds while Evan did the same in the building nearby. Similarly to most of our couples this year, they chose not to do a first look, and so the first time they saw each other was when Taylor finally walked down the aisle to meet Zachary at the end. After their ceremony, Taylor whisked away to do something surprising and cut her hair! Taylor & Zachary continued to celebrated their marriage at their reception by eating good food, cutting a cake, and having a loving first dance together.
Their beginning:
Taylor & Zach met in high school when he transferred to her school! Taylor was a sophomore and Zach was a senior when they had a study hall and math class together! After Zach graduated in 2015 they unfortunately lost contact until years later when Taylor went on vacation with my family in 2021. In true modern romance fashion, Taylor asked her twin brother for Zach’s snapchat and slid into his DMs. From there the rest is history!
When I asked Taylor about their proposal she said, “it was such a surprise for me!” As their relationship had started to get more serious and things progressed, Taylor gave Zach a long list of what she would love for their engagement if it were to happen one day. Well, when that time finally happened he totally nailed it all. She said, “I had set up pictures for us with our friend because I needed updated photos in our house. He went behind my back and planned the best surprise proposal and engagement dinner I could have ever imagined!”
The Jasper County Fairgrounds is a unique place for a wedding that allowed Taylor & Zachary to have the casual country vibes they were hoping for. While the girls got ready in a building onsite, the men came mostly dressed and finished any primping with each other in the reception hall. Taylor also shared a first look with her dad in a gazebo nearby. All of this led up to the big moment that her and her dad finally got to walk down the aisle towards and eagerly awaiting Zachary.
Unique locations require us as photographers and videographers opportunities to try something new and stretch our creative muscles. These fairgrounds were not designed with beautiful photography in mind, so finding locations onsite that allowed for our classic and natural style proved to be quite a challenge. We strive to capture your wedding day in the most authentic manner possible, so we hope that these images can truly encompass what it was like to be at the windy fairgrounds the day of Taylor & Zachary’s wedding. We are in love with their bridal party and couple’s portraits.
Following the ceremony, Taylor & Zachary celebrated their marriage with a fun reception in the local hall. It was beautifully decorated with white drapery and greenery throughout. But, before their grand entrance, Taylor had a surprise for everyone–she cut her hair! After shocking everyone with a new cut, they continued the fun night by eating good food, cutting a cake, and having a loving first dance together.
Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Lytle!
