Madison & Jordan became husband and wife during a beautiful, albeit rainy, day at Blossom Barn in Mulberry, Indiana. They started their day by getting ready with their closest friends and family in the onsite silos turned bride and groom suites. They shared a tear jerking first touch moment around a barn door while holding umbrellas to keep out the rain before reading each other their private vows. Their ceremony was moved indoors, but thankfully Blossom Barn had the most lovely back-up plan set up. Madison & Jordan continued to celebrated their marriage at their reception by eating good food, cutting a cake, and having a loving first dance together. Even when the power went out later that evening they pulled out a bluetooth speaker and continued the party! It will definitely be a wedding we all remember.
Their proposal story:
Madison & Jordan have the absolute cutest proposal story. While doing some work outisde, Jordan told Madison that they needed to walk to Madison’s parents’ house right down the road to borrow something. On their way Jordan sneakily tied a dandelion and the stem in a knot to make a fake ring (Madison told us its something he always used to do but she did not think it was as funny as he did), and got down on one knee and faked proposed to her. After some more walking Jordan got down on one knee behind Madison again–but this time with the real ring and asked her if that ring would fit her any better.
When I think back on particular wedding days that were able to take change with stride and pivot with ease I think of Madison & Jordan’s wedding. While some might say the rain and then the power outage put a damper on this day, we only look back with amazing memories. These two and their families were able to go with the flow and make the best of everything.
The rain didn’t let up all day, so while Madison & Jordan had initially planned on getting married outside, they quickly shifted to a beautiful wedding indoors. Blossom Barn and their team pulled through and had the most lovely back-up plan set up. This was the first change on Madison & Jordan’s wedding day that needed to be made and they made the decision seemlessly and with confidence.
Later that evening, while serving dinner at their reception, the power went out on the entire country block around them which included power at their barn. The dinner transitioned to a lovely candle-lit affair and most guests were happy to chat without any lighting or music. This was another example of how Madison & Jordan took change with stride. Since the DJ equipment could not work they did speeches by simply talking loudly and participated in formal dances via a small bluetooth speaker.
All-in-all the day might not have gone completely according to plan, but Madison & Jordan still had a wonderful wedding day surrounded by loving friends and family who supported and encouraged them through everything. We hope that their wedding photos and video remind them of the fun and happy times of their special day together.
