Kelsey & Alex’s wedding day at New Journey Farms in Lafayette, Indiana, started out on a warm Saturday with hot sunny weather. They got ready in their respective suites at the venue with the help of friends and family before keeping separated all morning while taking pictures with their friends. Later Alex watched Kelsey walk down the aisle at their outdoor ceremony site where they shared vows before sharing a kiss and marching back down the aisle as husband and wife. They followed up the night with dinner, amazing speeches, and tons of dancing to end their first evening together as an officially married couple.

On a sweltering summer day, surrounded by beautiful farm land and warm sunshine, Kelsey and Alex exchanged vows in a stunning outdoor ceremony at New Journey Farms in Lafayette, Indiana. The picturesque venue provided the perfect backdrop for their glamorous celebration, infused with elegance and romance. We love New Journey Farms and have shot there often.

The couple’s chosen colors, mauve and black, set the tone for a sophisticated and chic affair. Mauve hues for the bridesmaids dresses delicately accented the simple florals and decor, while black added a touch of drama and sophistication.

As guests arrived, they hid away in the white barn’s necessary air conditioning. The outdoor ceremony space was adorned with white drapery and florals, suspended from the onsite gazebo. Kelsey, resplendent in her beaded gown, walked down the aisle to meet Alex, dashing in his black and gold suite. The emotional exchange of vows, rings, and a kiss was met with joyful tears and applause from their loved ones.

As the sun began to set, the reception shifted indoors, where the glamour continued. The white chic barn was transformed into an stunningly sophisticated space, complete with white tables and chairs, tall vase centerpieces, and more white drapery. Guests indulged in delicious food and cocktails while toasting to the newlyweds.

Throughout the evening, Kelsey and Alex’s love shone brightly, as well as their love for their family and friends. Kelsey’s brother read a speech from her father who was in the hospital, she danced with all of the important men in her life, and then dedicated her bouquet to her mother. As Kelsey and Alex shared their first dance on the dance floor, it was clear that their love would endure long after the summer sun had set.
