Beth & Gil had a beautiful wedding at The Barn at Sioux-Monti just outside of Monticello, Indiana. They could not have asked for a better day as the sun was shining beautifully but it was not too hot. After a first touch around the barn doors without seeing each other, they began their outdoor ceremony surrounded my friends and family. As the sun began to set, they continued to celebrated their marriage by partying in the barn, eating good food, cutting their cake, and dancing the night away as husband and wife. This was Bethany & Gil’s special day.
An AGR party and an instant connection
All of our wedding packages include a complimentary engagement session. Meaning, it’s included no matter what! We do this so that we can get to know you and your fiance even more. Also, having an engagement session prior to the big day makes your wedding day flow easier and gives you a preview of what to expect from us on your wedding day.
Part of getting to know our LVP Couples on an more friendly basis is taking the time to learn their love story. Each of our clients’ stories is always so sweet! Bethany told us that they “met at Purdue during my second month of college. I was a freshman and Gil was a junior. We met at a party at AGR and, frankly, it was an instant connection. Gil asked me for my number that night and walked me back to my friend’s dorm (where I was staying) at 4:30 in the morning. I gave him a time window he could call me during the next day and he was spot on. We’ve been together ever since. 4.5 years later, he took me back to Purdue and popped the question under the bell tower.”

An important officiant to finally tie the knot for them
Unique stories really pull on our heartstrings, and Beth & Gil have a very interestesting one about the officiant who married them. Beth old us that the pastor who officiated the wedding is quite special. She said, “I grew up in Montgomery County, Indiana and attended a small Presbyterian church across the street from my house.” She later found out that Gil grew up attending the Star City Presbyterian Church with his grandparents. While talking they discovered that Bethany’s favorite childhood pastor was actually Gil’s pastor first. They said, “After Rev. Lacy left Pulaski Co. he came down to Montgomery Co.” They highlight this special connection at the ceremony.
Another special connection they shared was their dog. She was a huge part of their wedding day, and even got to be a dog of honor. She participated in the ceremony, in most of the photos, and maybe secretly partied the night away on her own to celebrate her humans finally being husband and wife.
