A bright, sunny day spent getting ready in their own homes with their favorite people before their special first look moment after arriving at The Wellington in Fishers, Indiana, followed by a romantic indoor ceremony, and finally finishing off the night with friends and family celebrating their first night together as husband and wife—this was Chelsea & Jaycob’s special day.
She found out about the ring ahead of time!
We told this story already during their engagement session, but it’s so fun that we find it worth mentioning again. Chelsea & Jaycob chatted with us about how they met and how Jaycob proposed. Chelsea said, “We met in college our sophomore year. We then moved to Evansville in 2019-2020 and moved to Carmel, IN in summer of 2020.” They told us how Jaycob proposed at a winery and they enjoyed their engagement by staying in a cabin.
We think that the best part of the story is the spoilers that Chelsea had. She almost found out about the ring twice!! She told us, “I actually knew about the ring because we already live together and saw it on our home insurance bill.” She didn’t know when or how he was going to propose, but she knew it was coming. We can only imagine the excitement boiling over inside her as she waited for the day.

That’s what these two are all about—having fun and enjoying time with friends. From the moment we arrived at the house where the men were getting ready we knew that they day was going to be beautiful but laid back and fun. We were there while they finished putting on their suit jackets, chugged another beer (or two), and laughed with us for an hour or so. Then we went to where the girls were getting ready and enjoyed some refreshments, a beautiful home, and good company.
All of our couples fill out a few different questionnaires before their wedding. One of our favorite questions to ask is “what are you most nervous about?” We ask this question mostly so that we can address and alleviate some of those fears. But Chelsea responded with: “Nothing honestly!“ This is another reason why you could just tell their wedding day was going to be so fun.
Chelsea & Jaycob shared a first look before walking down the carpeted aisle to finally say their “I Do’s,” share a kiss, and walk happily away as husband and wife. They then took a limo to a nearby park where we were able to capture some enjoyable sunset photos with all of their friends. Lastly, they really knew how to dance and party—they ended the night with tons of laughs, even more kisses, and exciting new rings on their fingers.
