It was early, gloomy, and cold, but these two sure do clean up nice! Kylee and Jacob met us at the Carmel Christkindlmarkt before they opened in the morning for some beautiful holiday themed engagement photos. We had the entire Christmas Market to ourselves, and enjoyed taking our time taking pictures surrounded by all of the lights and holiday decorations.

At LVP Studios we offer photography, videography, and package bundles to all of our couples who are getting married. Some of our bundle and videography packages include an engagement video. This is a great time for us to get to know our couples a bit more, sit down and talk about their story, and learn about what brought them together. It also allows each of our couples the chance to get comfortable in front of the camera in the form of photos and video.

Polar Opposites attract!

Kylee and Jacob met when she was a senior in college and he had just graduated. They only lived 45 minutes apart and matched on Tinder during the summer. They joked about their Tinder beginnings and said, “His pick up line was making fun of me for being afraid of birds.” Fast forward to their first day and Kylee told us that he barely kissed her goodnight, and she figured he wasn’t interested. That was almost 4.5 years ago, and now they haven’t gone a day without talking since. 

When we asked them to describe themselves and their relationship they said, “we are polar opposites.” Jacob is quiet and calm, and Kylee told us she was anxious and outgoing. But then they repeated, “We are the perfect match.”  Other fun things about these two is that they are huge homebodies who prefer to be home together with their cats. Chatting with them so far we’ve learned that we will hear A LOT about Kylee and Jacob’s cats in the next year—which we don’t mind because we’re animal lovers too!! Kylee even told us, “We love our cats, almost as much as we love each other, maybe more.”

The proposal was perfect.

It took 4 years of Kylee poking and bugging Jacob to actually get him to do it. They went to Hawaii for 9 days and on our first day Kylee had a panic attack about being away from home and their cats. Thankfully Jacob calmed her down (like he always does) and convinced her to relax and enjoy the trip. And according to Kylee the story goes: “The next day, on sunset beach on the North Shore of Hawaii, we were taking pictures and I felt him shaking, and next thing I knew he was down on one knee. I blacked out and believe I said “are you fucking with me?” before he could even ask. Of course I said yes. It was perfect and now here we are.”

They’re both excited to have this day together and be with all of their friends and family! Kylee & Jacob will be getting married in December at Black Iris Estate in Carmel, Indiana. They have chosen LVP Studios to document their special day with photo and video! We know that these two are counting the days that their family and friends can all get together while they finally say their “I Do’s.”
