Welcome to the world Laina Rae Ditmire. She was born strong and healthy on June 29th, 2021, at 8:29pm weighing 6 lbs. 11 oz. and measuring 19 inches to an excited momma, Dominique, and proud dad, Brandon. They went in to be induced at the Northwest Health Hospital in LaPorte, Indiana, the evening before, but due to some unexpected complications they decided to go forward with an emergency c-section later the next day. Everything went as planned after that and Laina Rae was happy and healthy. Everyone is so grateful to have this surprise girl in the world now.

Dominique and Brandon chose not to find out the gender of their baby before her birth. The coming of a child is always an exciting moment, but these two were especially thrilled to be finding out whether it was a boy or a girl. Dominique told me later at the hospital the story of how Brandon was able to announce that it was a girl as they lifted her into view. Beautiful Laina Rae made her entrance.

I had the wonderful opportunity to take maternity photos for this growing family at the Tippecanoe River State Park in Winamac, Indiana earlier in the summer. Dominique & Brandon were so fun to hang out with, we chatted a lot, and Dom was even willing to get in the river for some amazing “wild child” photos. I am already so grateful to be able to call these two friends and can’t wait to smother their little one in love as she continues to grow!!
