Michaela & Parker met us at the Tippecanoe River State Park in Winamac, Indiana for their engagement session photos and video. They have chosen LVP Studios to document their wedding day with video. Some of our video packages include amazing engagement videos that allow our couples to tell their story. Michaela & Parker also chose to add on photo to their engagement session.
At LVP Studios we offer photography, videography, and package bundles to all of our couples who are getting married. We often book weddings for simply just videography, and when we do we still like to take the time to do an engagement session if possible. This is a great time for us to get to know our couples a bit more. It also allows each of our couples the chance to get comfortable in front of the camera.
Michaela told us, “We met in Mr. Bailey’s class in 6th grade. We had a huge crush on each other and dated for a whole week until I broke up with Parker because I was too scared my dad would find out I had a boyfriend.” They dated off and on throughout their schooling, but were just never at the point that they wanted to be serious. So, they went their separate ways and off to college.
Later they both had an internship at Braun the summer before their junior year of college (summer of 2017). They told me, “It started off with us eating lunch together every day. Parker was always trying to make the moves to take me out on a date, but I wasn’t really interested. He was persistent, and he had an extra ticket to a concert. So I finally caved for a “casual” date at a Sam Hunt concert at Ruoff and the rest is kind of history.” He slowly got Michaela to go on more dates with him, and they were “officially” dating by the beginning of July 2017 when they went on a trip to Michigan for the 4th of July.
Their love story goes on for almost 4 years before Parker proposed. He bought the ring in May but decided last minute on June 12th that he was going to propose on Sunday, June 13th. He called his mom and said “Hey, I want to propose to Michaela tomorrow. Can you get family and everything together?” A panicked Angie reached out to Megan (Michaela’s sister) to organize the event while Parker went out to my grandma’s house to ask Michaela’s dad the big question. Michaela went on to tell the story saying that “We met at Parker and I’s house where I got ready and changed. When I came out to the living room after getting ready, in jean shorts and a tank top, Parker said “Umm… I think you looked a little nicer the last time we went to this restaurant.” Angie agreed. My feelings were a little hurt looking back now,” she laughed. She said, “I was thinking “what the heck”, but I changed anyway.”
They were heading to dinner, but they needed to “drop something off” at Parker’s dad’s river property. So Michael & Parker stopped at his property where some family was sitting around a fire. They were all talking for a little while, but Parker and his uncle snuck off while Michaela chatted with Parker’s parents. Michaela told us, “When we noticed Parker was gone, we went to look for him at the neighbor’s river property. As we walked around the house, I noticed Steph and Dalton (their friends) kind of hiding in the background. I was so oblivious. I remember saying “Oh! There’s Dalton and Steph!” as if it was cool and totally normal for them to randomly be there. Then I saw my sister and other family members, and I was like “OH MY GOSH THIS IS HAPPENING”. I was so caught off guard that I just kind of stood there and didn’t even see Parker. He pulled me off to the side and got down on one knee while I freaked out. I was so excited and absolutely soooo surprised. I think it’s the best story. I’m honestly so proud of how Parker pulled everything off to keep me so off his trail. He definitely owes a lot of it to his momma and some to Megan too. I love our love story.”
A fall wedding is the perfect time for these two to get married. They’re planning for a wedding with colors like champagne and burgundy. The men will wear navy tuxes, the girls will wear champagne dresses, and the flowers/accents/ties will be burgundy. They are also planning for a vine/greenery wall behind their head table and are very excited for this. The venue is a newer industrial style building called Empeiria 110 in Rochester, Indiana. We will be videoing their special day. We know that these two are counting the days that their family and friends can all get together while they finally say their “I Do’s”
Congratulations to the soon to be Mr. and Mrs! We hope you love this engagement video about their love story and their photos.
