We're Trevor & Danyell--Northern Indiana's Wedding and Family Photography & Videography team. We focus on documenting your joyful, authentic, and timeless memories.
Elizabeth & Jeff met us at the Ogden Gardens in Valparaiso, Indiana for their engagement session photos and video. They have chosen LVP Studios to document their wedding day with photo and video. At LVP Studios we offer photography, videography, and package bundles to all of our couples who are getting married. Some of our packages include engagement videos like these ones that allow our couples to tell their story. This is a great time for us to get to know our couples a bit more. It also allows each of our couples the chance to get comfortable in front of the camera.
A real story… and a fake one
When I asked Elizabeth to share how her and Jeff met she said, “Do you want to know the real story… or the one our family knows?” The real story is: April 2016 Elizabeth & Jeff met online using a site called Plenty of Fish. But their family and friends were told a different story. For the past 6 years they have told everyone that they met in the parking lot of the Orland Park Mall. You see, Jeff has this beautiful lifted truck, and it was all up from there… or so the story goes.
Elizabeth told us that April 17, 2016 their first date. “Jeff picked me up at my parents house (in that beautiful lifted truck) this was the first time I had met him in person.” They hopped into the truck and drove to get ice cream at Ranch Frosties in New Lenox, and after that, they described it like they were best friends for years. They drove around in his truck singing along to every country song 99.5 was playing, went to Chicagoland Speedway (he had never been before and he took a picture of his truck by the track), and from there they went back to Elizabeth’s parents house and watched tv. From that day forward Elizabeth & Jeff were pretty inseparable.
On April 23rd, a week after their first date, they were sitting on the couch and Jeff said to Elizabeth “Since you kind of already are, will you be my girlfriend?” to which she responded by running to the bathroom to call her friends and ask them if she should say yes. They obviously agreed so she went back to him and gave him a kiss and said that was her answer.
A Christmas engagement
Fast forward to November 2021–Elizabeth & Jeff closed on their first ever home together! After five and a half years of dating they finally had their own place. Elizabeth told us that she thought for sure he was going to ask her to marry him that day… but she was wrong. She said, “The week of Christmas Jeff asked me if since it was our first Christmas in our house if we could have our family over Christmas morning for breakfast. To which I was a little annoyed because I wanted our first Christmas morning to be just us and special, but little did I know what was about to happen.”
Jeff’s parents, Elizabeth’s parents, and her brother came over to eat. When they had finished eating Elizabeth’s mom handed her a small gift, a little while later Jeff’s mom handed her a small gift, and then Jeff brought up this box. Jeff seemed impatient and said, “well are you gonna open it?!” Elizabeth looked from Jeff’s mom to her left and her mom to her right and both had their phones out so she knew it had to be something good. When she opened it it was a piece of wood. She said, “I flipped it over and melted. It read ‘Will you marry me?’ burned into the wood. Me hyperventilating, and Jeff on one knee, he asked “Liz will you marry me?” In between breaths of crying I said yeah!!! I was not expecting that to happen! And I’m soo happy we have videos of it!!”
Stay tuned for Elizabeth and Jeff’s September 2023 wedding!!
They cannot wait to celebrate with all of their friends and family! Elizabeth & Jeff will be getting married in September at The Barn & Vineyard in Beecher, Illinois.
