Ashlee & Conner got married at Serendipity Barn in Kokomo, Indiana. Before the ceremony, they shared an emotional first look where they also exchanged private vows with one another. The overcast day gave us the opportunity for the most perfect soft light photos and videos–from bridal party to couples to ceremony, everything about the day seemed so perfect. After saying their “I Do’s” in front of the barn doors surrounded by their friends and family, Ashlee & Conner partied the night away. There was amazing food, tasty desserts, and plenty love surrounding these two all night long.
The story of their beginning
Throughout their first semester at Purdue, Conner and Ashlee would touch base occasionally to check in, and see how the other was adjusting to the new environment. Being from the same small town, they knew that having one another while at school was going to be comforting. Nearing Christmas Break of 2017, Ashlee and Conner’s relationship blossomed into something deeper than either expected, and it all started from a simple message checking in.
Ashlee and Conner’s wedding at Serendipity Barn in Kokomo, Indiana was the kind of day that feels like a dream from start to finish. Every moment was infused with emotion, intention, and the kind of quiet beauty that only an elegant barn wedding can bring. Their color palette of burgundy, burnt orange, deep greens, and warm golds tied everything together beautifully, giving the day a rich, romantic feel that fit the setting perfectly.
Before the ceremony even began, Ashlee and Conner chose to share an emotional first look that set the tone for everything that followed. In that quiet moment, they exchanged private vows—words spoken softly, with only each other to hear. It was intimate, heartfelt, and incredibly grounding in the midst of an already meaningful day. While they were getting ready, they also surprised each other with gifts, another sweet reminder of the thoughtfulness they share.
Ashlee spent months preparing every detail, and it showed in the most stunning ways. From the florals to the decor to the layout of the day, her vision came together flawlessly. Her dad, who had been teary-eyed since the morning, shared a first look with her too, and it was every bit as emotional as you’d imagine. That moment between them was tender, genuine, and one of the highlights of the early part of the day.
The overcast sky gave us soft, dreamy light for photos and videos all day long. Some of our favorite portraits were taken in a cut field beside the barn, where the simple backdrop allowed every ounce of Ashlee and Conner’s love to shine through.
After saying their “I do’s” in front of the barn doors surrounded by friends and family, the celebration continued with delicious food, tasty desserts, and a whole lot of joy. Ashlee and Conner truly partied the night away, wrapped in love from every direction. . . and it was a privilege to capture every moment.
