Jessica & Kevin shared their vows and became husband and wife this past weekend during a bright and beautiful day at New Journey Farms in Lafayette, Indiana. They started their day by getting ready with their closest friends and family in the onsite suites. They shared an intimate first look moment in their “getting ready outfits” where they also read private letters to each other. They chose to move their ceremony indoors to avoid the heat, so every guest was comfortably waiting for them inside as Jessica walked down the aisle. Jessica & Kevin continued to celebrated their marriage at their reception by eating good food, cutting a cake, and having a loving first dance together.
Their proposal story:
Jessica & Kevin officially met in 2017 when she began working at the same restaurant that he was already working at. Even though they did actually meet a few years prior at a Wainwright Middle School football game that Jessica’s father and Kevin were coaching at together. Jessica says, “I remember meeting him that night as my Dad introduced me to him, not thinking anything of it. I said hello and a few years went by before the timing was just right for us to fall back into each others lives.” Jessica told us that she got her first real job in college and this is where her and Kevin’s story really begins.
They described their connection as undeniable and easy right from the start. Their love truly only grew from that moment on. They spent every single day together and quickly became “Kev & Jess” who did everything together. If you invited one of them somewhere, the other was coming too. They spent the next few years dating and building a life together–doing things like: moving into their first apartment together with their two kittens in 2019, moving into their first home together in 2020, and then of course, getting engaged in July 2022.
Jessica has always wanted color for her wedding day… and she accomplished exactly that. On a bright and sunny day, Jessica and Kevin tied the knot in a vibrant celebration of love and joy. The atmosphere was electric, filled with laughter and excitement. Jessica shone in a gown covered in floral applique, while Kevin beamed in a classic black tailored suit. The ceremony was a kaleidoscope of colors, with flowers, decorations, and attire all blending together in perfect harmony. As they exchanged vows, the air was filled with happiness and promise.
After the ceremony and festivities of the morning, the reception began in the New Journey Farms central room where everything is open and bright. The reception was a lively party, with music, dancing, and merriment that lasted long into the night.
