We're Trevor & Danyell--Northern Indiana's Wedding and Family Photography & Videography team. We focus on documenting your joyful, authentic, and timeless memories.
Right before the snow started to melt I met these two at the Tippecanoe River State Park just outside of Winamac, Indiana for a winter wonderland engagement session. It was the best day—the sun shining, the brisk cold starting to lift, and the white snow glistening in every photo. They were troupers too as we pretended to be warm, walked down trails that had not been shoveled, and laughed it off as we all got snow in our shoes. I couldn’t have asked for a better session with Brooke & Alan.
I love getting to know each of our couples during these sessions. We get to chat about their wedding plans, where they met, how they fell in love, the master plan behind their proposal, and so much more. We always tend to laugh a lot, and by the end of the session feel more connected than ever before. This is why engagement sessions are so important for us to schedule with each and every one of our wedding couples. An engagement session is not only a great time for you to get really amazing images, but it is also the time when we get to know each other and feel comfortable around the camera.
The saying is definitely true—when you know you know!
To share a bit about Brooke & Alan’s love story, Brooke started by telling me about how they were set up together. She said, “We were set up by a mutual friend just this last July. We went on our first date in August! We went to a Mexican restaurant then on a walk on a trail through a golf course in Rochester.” And she went on to quote “when you know you know!” which Trevor and I both believe is definitely true. Sometimes true love just falls right in front of you without even expecting it and when that happens there’s a way that you know—when you know you just know.
When filling out her questionnaire with us earlier in February she said, “We got engaged a week ago yesterday! We were planning on going out to eat, but there was more plans that I didn’t know about. We stopped at the golf course where we went on our first date. There was a little bit of snow on the ground and it was all lit up. That was where he asked me! Exactly 6 months later!”
Stay tuned for Brooke & Alan’s April 2021 Wedding!!
An early spring wedding couldn’t be more perfect of a time for these two to get married. They’re planning a rustic theme with colors like iris, light grey, and a little bit of navy blue. We will be photographing their special day. We know that these two are counting the days that their family and friends can all get together while they finally say their “I Do’s”
