Stephanie & Adam got married on a recent Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Griffith, Indiana, before celebrating at their reception at The Barn & Vineyard in Beecher, Illinois. Their slightly rustic decor met with the elegance of a church wedding, featuring colors like dusty pink and navy, added a soft theme to their warm and rainy wedding. The day began with the bride and groom getting ready separately in the newly renovated suites at the reception venue. They then rode in a party bus to the ceremony location before Stephanie had the honor to walk down the aisle to her awaiting soon-to-be-husband. After a full Catholic Mass the festivities continued again back at The Barn & Vineyard, where the evening was filled with heartfelt toasts, fun line dancing, and unforgettable moments shared with their closest family and friends.
Their love story…
They are both from Griffith, and they have know each other since kindergarten and went to school together through high school. However, they didn’t start dating until undergrad when Stephanie went to school in Ohio and Adam stayed in Indiana for school. It’s wild that after all those years together they would eventually start dating only to be states apart. Stephanie told us, “We dated for 6 years and have been long distance for the majority of our relationship.” Thankfully though now they are both back in northwest Indiana together.
It was a magical winter evening in January 2024 when he popped the question and proposed! As they glided hand-in-hand across the icy landscape of Deep River Waterpark their cold weather love story continued. But little did they know, that romantic ice-skating proposal would set the stage for a deliberate departure from winter wonderland weddings.
As fate would have it, their special dates – birthdays, anniversary, and now the proposal – all coincided with the chilliest of seasons. So, when it came time to plan the big day, they mutually agreed: no way was their wedding going to be a winter wonderland repeat! The decision was made, and the countdown to a sun-kissed, warm-weather celebration began.

The morning began at the reception venue, where Stephanie and Adam got ready separately in The Barn & Vineyard’s newly renovated suites. These bright and spacious rooms offered the perfect backdrop for quiet anticipation and special moments with their bridal parties. From there, the couple and their wedding party hopped on a lively party bus that carried them to the church.
At St. Mary Catholic Church, the atmosphere was reverent and joyful as guests gathered to witness Stephanie walk down the aisle toward Adam. Their ceremony included a full Catholic Mass, a sacred and meaningful way for the couple to begin their marriage surrounded by faith, family, and tradition.
Following the ceremony, everyone returned to The Barn & Vineyard for an evening filled with heartfelt moments and plenty of laughter. Toasts from family and friends highlighted the couple’s love story and the strong community supporting them. Guests enjoyed dancing the night away, with lively line dances bringing energy to the floor and sweet slow dances highlighting the romance of the evening.
From start to finish, Stephanie & Adam’s wedding was filled with meaningful traditions, joyful celebration, and unforgettable memories—an incredible beginning to their life together as husband and wife.
