Conner & Ashlee spent their 4 years at high school with neighboring lockers, casual greetings, and lots of gum sharing. Acquaintances and classmates, without a clue that they would one day be getting married. We met these sweethearts at Conner’s parent’s personal residence to do some engagement photos on their lovely grounds a couple of weeks ago. During their session we chatted about their wedding plans, their love story, and got to know each other a bit more while taking some amazing engagement photos.

Not high school sweethearts, but something more.

According to their wedding website: Conner’s family relocated to Winamac from Auburn, Indiana, the winter of his 8th grade year. Conner joined Ashlee as a Winamac Warrior, and quickly found his close group of friends. Conner and Ashlee spent their 4 years at Winamac Community High School with neighboring lockers, casual greetings, and lots of gum sharing. They even were randomly assigned to walk together at high school graduation. Acquaintances and classmates, without a clue that they would one day be married. Although Conner and Ashlee both attended the same middle and high school, their love did not begin until their journey at Purdue University.

So, here’s how it started:

Throughout their first semester at Purdue, Conner and Ashlee would touch base occasionally to check in, and see how the other was adjusting to the new environment. A link to the comfort that home can bring, and another person who understood and was experiencing very similar things. Nearing Christmas Break of 2017, Ashlee and Conner’s relationship blossomed into something deeper than either expected, and it all started from a simple message checking in.

Upon their return to Purdue in January of 2018, they were already starting the loving partnership that brought them to today. A Purdue basketball game, a Hillenbrand Dining court date, and a dorm room movie marathon later, they were officially a couple. Fast forward over 5 1/2 years later, post graduations from Purdue, Ashlee and Conner now reside in Kokomo with their 2 orange boys (cats, of course), Gibson and Goose. Together they have experienced many notable occurrences. Becoming an Aunt/Uncle, Growing Their Love, Graduations, Birthdays, Holidays, Loss of Loved Ones, Career Successes, Financial Growth, Failure, Vacations, and so much more. By each others sides, they learned young adult livelihood with one another.

They wedding will be next fall at Serendipity Barn in Kokomo, Indiana, is going to be such a perfect celebration of the love these two share. They’re planning a boho barn wedding with rustic vibes and earth tone colors like: Rust Orange, Olive Green, Neutral Champagne. They have chosen LVP Studios to document their special day with photo and video! We know that they are counting the days that their family and friends can all get together while they finally say their forever vows.
