Dominique & Brandon finally said their “I do’s” at a river front property in Monterey, Indiana. They started their day by getting ready with their closest friends and family at The Meeting Place (aka the old Monterey School) before traveling to the Tippecanoe River for their wedding ceremony. Brandon first got to see their 2 year old daughter walk down the aisle before his soon-to-be wife finally made her teary eyed entrance. During their ceremony they exchanged rings, took a shot together, and sealed the deal with a long kiss. Dominique & Brandon continued to celebrated their marriage at their reception at The Meeting Place of Monterey where they ate good food, cut a cake, and enjoyed the night as husband and wife.
We’ve been documenting this family as they grow
We first actually met Dominque & Brandon for maternity photos back when they were pregnant with their little one. I had the wonderful opportunity to take maternity photos for this growing family at the Tippecanoe River State Park in Winamac, Indiana earlier in the summer. Dominique & Brandon were so fun to hang out with, we chatted a lot, and Dom was even willing to get in the river for some amazing “wild child” photos. I am already so grateful to be able to call these two friends and can’t wait to smother their little one in love as she continues to grow!! Then we met again for Newborn and Fresh 48 photos once Laina was born. Her hospital session photos are some of our all time favorites—you can check them out here: https://lvpstudios.com/fresh48-session-northwest-health-laporte-hospital/
They both knew what they wanted
During their engagement session Dominique told us, “We met through mutual friends. We clicked very fast, didn’t take us long to know we were right for each other because we both knew what we wanted.” Having solid plans and visions for the future brought these two together as they not only knew what they wanted out of life, but they also knew right away just how much they wanted each other.
Even though they knew what they both wanted out of life, Dominique was still clueless of the proposal. She told us, “I thought we were just going to take family pictures. It was one of the best days of my life, especially being so surprised.” He proposed at France Park in Logansport while pretending to have family photos taken.

Their wedding plans changed numerous times
Because we had been documenting Dominque & Brandon’s lives for so long, we went ahead and booked their wedding really early without having solid plans laid out. It was such a fun experience for us as photographers to be part of their planning process as they made decisions, changed their mind, and then finally settled on what they did in the end.
Initially they had planned their wedding at a different venue. Then that plan changed when Dominque called me and said she wanted to just elope in Tennessee. We were so excited for this unique option, but that too didn’t wind up being in the cards for them. In the end, these two made the decision to get married with small town vibes as their backdrop keeping everything cute and simple. Their ceremony took place at a private property on the Tippecane River, and their reception was at The Meeting Place of Monterey.
Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Ditmire!
