We're Trevor & Danyell--Northern Indiana's Wedding and Family Photography & Videography team. We focus on documenting your joyful, authentic, and timeless memories.
It was a drizzly day at The Lighthouse Restaurant in Cedar Lake, Indiana where Sarah & Johnny had their first looks, said their bows, and became husband and wife. They started their morning by getting ready at their nearby private property before seeing each other for the first time during an intimate first look outside under a gazebo while it was sprinkling. Later they walk down the aisle at their outdoor ceremony site by the lake and followed up the night with dinner, amazing speeches, and tons of dancing to end their first evening together as husband and wife—this was Sarah & Johnny’s special day.
Love on a golf course
Sarah & Johnny met on a golf course. Sarah told us, “We meet at a golf course where I worked as a bar tender! There was an outing and a family friend convinced him to try to talk to me!” Johnny recalled during his vows how he was still in awe that he got the attractive bar tender to talk to him, let along go on a date with him, and now become his wife.
As photographers and videographers we love hearing everyone’s unique love story. As we wrap up our year it’s fun to reflect on all of the different stories that we hear and the surprising ways that couples meet their forever person. During the booking process we like to have a initial meeting where we simply chat about each other, our life’s stories, and how we came to be where we are–this is my favorite time because we can truly get to know each of our couples.
A faux sparkler exit
Sparkler exits are a popular way for couples to end their wedding day. Running off to their getaway car while remaining guests wave glowing sparklers in an arch above their heads makes for a fun exit and even more amazing pictures and videos. But often times we as photographers and videographers do not stay at the wedding all the way until the night’s end–this is when faux sparkler exits come into play.
A faux sparkler exit is becoming more and more popular as wedding couples want those fun looking photos and videos but don’t want to end their night early. For a faux sparkler exit we will have friends and family come outside at a designated time to do a sparkler exist but just for the photos. The couple doesn’t actually leave and the night can still go on. This is an excellent idea when you plan to party late and want the photos/videos before your photographer leaves.
For Sarah & Johnny, right before coverage for photography was to end, we took them and their closest friends and family outside for the faux sparkler exit. Even though it was raining at the time, the photos and videos were so worth it.
