It was a warm summer day at Willow Creek Barn in Frankfort, Indiana spent getting ready in the onsite bridal and groom suits with their bridal party then seeing each other for the first time during an intimate first look outside the barn doors in which it started to sprinkle. After the rain, they walk down the aisle at their shining outdoor ceremony site under the willow tree, followed by finishing off the night with dinner, amazing speeches, and tons of dancing to end their first evening together as husband and wife—this was Morgan & Kody’s special day.
Brought together by a love of weight lifting
When we asked Morgan to tell us the story of their love she said, “Kody and I are both into weightlifting and met at the gym in November of 2019.” She very quickly fell in love with the cute army guy and he very quickly fell in love with the pretty girl going to college to be a dental assistant.
Now, fast forward to December of 2022, Morgan was coming home from the gym after work and they got Burger King to bring home and eat for dinner. Morgan says, “we were sitting in the living room eating and I left the room for a second to grab something, and when I came back and sat down, Kody asked me what was on Rayne’s (one of our dogs) collar. I looked at it and found a ring hanging next to her dog tag.” She remembers that she froze for a second, then looked up at Kody so surprised. He says, “Wanna get married?” and with tears running down her face she asked, “Are you serious?” Tearing up Kody tells Morgan “Yeah.” Morgan told us that she doesn’t even think she actually said yes, she just kept bawling asking him if he was serious!
The story goes on that they hugged for a solid minute while Morgan was crying and he was laughing, and their dog who was sitting between them the entire time pushed her head through them to get in the middle of the hug. Morgan went on to say, “It was the best day of my life and I remember every little detail like it was yesterday.”
A little rain on their wedding day
Honestly, you probably wouldn’t even know it from the pictures and videos of Morgan & Kody’s day, but they had quite a bought of rain during the middle of their wedding day. After spending the morning getting ready in private, sharing special first look moments, and knocking out most of their bridal party photos, a wicked bit of rain decided to make it’s appearance at Willow Creek Barn in Frankfort, Indiana.
While no one was scared of a little good luck rain, Morgan & Kody ultimately made the decision to push back their wedding ceremony and wait it out. Thankfully their guests were able to enjoy the comfort of the barn while the rain passed. Once the drizzle was finally over, the crew at Willow Creek Barn dried the benches outside in front of the beautiful willow tree so that Morgan & Kody could officially become husband and wife.
After their heartfelt ceremony, these two shared an amazing wedding evening full with delicious barbecue dinner, some amazing speeches, and tons of dancing. They were able to step outside for some private sunset moments before heading back in with friends to smoke cigars and end their first evening together as husband and wife.
