A beautiful spring day at White Willow Farms in Arcadia, Indiana just north of Indianapolis spent getting ready in the onsite bridal and groom suits with their bridal party then seeing each other for the first time as they walk down the aisle at their shining outdoor ceremony site, followed by finishing off the night with dinner, amazing speeches, and tons of dancing to end their first evening together as husband and wife—this was Courtney & Xander’s special day.
Distance makes the heart grow fonder
Courtney & Xander met their sophomore year of high school in Florida. They were actually really good friends right from the start. After about a year of hanging out Courtney told us, “we decided to start dating and his family moved to Indiana our senior year.” Because of Xander’s move, they ended up doing long distance for 2 years. After a year of different colleges and being apart, Courtney said that she could not stand being apart from him so she transferred colleges. And they have been inseparable ever since!
Their proposal was in Miami Florida where they live. Courtney told us the story like this: “We were supposed to take family Christmas pictures down at this historical garden museum. Xander and I got there “before everyone else”. So he insisted to walk around and enjoy the scenery. We walked to these beautiful outside stairs and I turned around and he was on one knee! He had a hidden photographer and everything! We met up with both of our families afterwards at this beautiful restaurant!”
An “Enchanted Boho” wedding
When asked to describe their wedding theme, Courtney & Xander said “enchanted boho” which perfectly encompasses the beauty of their day. All of their colors were very natural and elegant—they used a neutral/pink color tone with lots of champagne colors, light peaches, and nudes. To top it all off their flowers were beautiful bouquets of nudes with little pops of color.
Courtney’s gorgeous sparkly dress was really the cherry on top of the enchanted theme. She shown brilliantly as she walked down the aisle to see Xander for the first time. During the ceremony they each read intimate personal vows specific to them that made their close friends and family in the audience tear up. The love that these two shared throughout the evening of their wedding was truly magical.
