Kari and Zach expressed from the beginning how excited they were to take photos on their farm with tractors. Their relationship started at the National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville, Kentucky, so they couldn’t imagine photos without their farm being the setting. Whenever we get a chance to try incorporating personal things that are special to our couples into their sessions we are totally down.

At LVP Studios we offer photography, videography, and package bundles to all of our couples who are getting married. Some of our bundle and videography packages include an engagement video. This is a great time for us to get to know our couples a bit more, sit down and talk about their story, and learn about what brought them together. It also allows each of our couples the chance to get comfortable in front of the camera in the form of photos and video.

It all started at a Farm Show

In February of 2018 Kari and one of her girl friends went down to the National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville, Kentucky to we meet up with a guy that her friend was talking to. This gentleman also had a friend with him, into Zach. Because of these mutual friends, Kari & Zach ended up hanging out at the bars during the Farm Show. Kari said, “the next day on my way home he messaged me….and almost 4.5 years later he proposed!”

On November 4, 2022 Kari & Zach were harvesting their last field of corn at their house. Kari always runs the auger cart and Zach rides the combine. Their neighbor brought his little girl over to the field which wasn’t unusual because she like to look at the tractors, and Kari thought she was going to ride in the combine. However, the neighbor was actually bringing Zach the ring so he could propose! When Zach was unloading corn Kari got out to talk to the neighbor and when she turned around Zach was on his knee.

A country and rustic vibe

When I asked them if there was anything special or sentimental that they plan to include during their wedding planning they said “farming.” From the moment we met Kari & Zach mentioned wanting to make sure we have tractors in their engagement and wedding pictures. This was something we could happily accommodate for them. Whenever we get a chance to try incorporating personal things that are special to our couples into their sessions we are totally down.

Their planning an equally rustic wedding and have chosen colors like rosewood, spice, and terracotta. They plan to have lots of dark red/burgundy and dark orange. It is also going to be an outdoor wedding, so the country outdoor vibes will be present throughout the day.

They’re both excited to be marrying their best friend, and also, just celebrating with their friends and enjoying the day! Kari & Zach will be getting married in September at The Gathering Place in Twelve Mile, Indiana. They have chosen LVP Studios to document their special day with photo and video! We know that these two are counting the days that their family and friends can all get together while they finally say their “I Do’s.”
