We would have never thought to suggest the Indiana Dunes during the fall, but boy is it going to be on the top of my list from now on!! This session, this location, this day, was just magical. We all want those sunset glowy photos, but often times I find that an overcast day can actually create even better photos with smooth lighting and amazing white skies. That’s how it was for Emily & Trey’s engagement session. A beautiful overcast day on the beach in the fall at the Indiana Dunes State Park in Chesterton, Indiana.

I truly enjoyed chatting with Emily & Trey and getting to know them both a bit more. We first met virtually with Emily and discussed their big day plans. The first step in the booking process is always for us to get in touch and meet for coffee whenever possible. When couples reach out to us via our website we will be in touch to set up a time to meet for coffee (or chat virtually). Wedding consultations are first on our list and are totally complimentary to all couples. We talk about their big day and how we can help capture every moment.
Our coffee chats can last anywhere between 30-60 minutes. Of course this time is mostly spent chatting about your big day and your option for booking with us. We like to answer all of your questions in person (or virtually) instead of through email because we can be more candid and get to know each other at bit more. We loved talking with Emily & Trey–it felt like we were casual friends just catching up.
When I asked Emily how they’d met she said, “We met through Trey’s sister in law. I was teaching across the hall from her and she knew we would be great together!” They also mentioned that their families go way back, which makes it all seem so meant to be!
Stay tuned for Emily and Trey’s June 2023 Wedding!!
A warm summer wedding is the perfect time for these two to get married. They’ll be saying their “I Do’s” at Valle Vista in Greenwood, Indiana. Last time we chatted they were told us about their wedding theme was classic with lots of greenery. We will be photographing their special day. We know that these two are counting the days that their family and friends can all get together while they finally say their forever vows.
