Megan & Tyler | A wedding at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Peru, Indiana

A wedding at the beautiful St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Peru, Indiana followed by a bangin’ party bus to Kokomo, IN, and then wrapping the night with family and friends at the stunning hall of Bel Air Events—this was Megan & Tyler’s special day.

You can tell how important family is to Megan & Tyler—we love that!

About a week before their wedding day, I received a private message from Megan’s mom who wanted to surprise her with the videography package that Megan & Tyler had intended to book.

You see, we had met with Megan earlier this year. A few weeks after booking, we received a sad message that due to some unfortunate events Megan & Tyler had to make the tough decision of cutting back the hours that we were going to be in attendance to film. While we knew we could still create a stunning video to memorialize their big day, we were sad for them as we always love to be at weddings with enough time to capture most of the festivities.

That moment when Megan’s mom stepped in to help make sure that Megan & Tyler’s day was fully captured brought the biggest smiles to our faces. It was clear that family is so important to all of them—they supported each other, they thought of one another, and they obviously were loved so much.

It was obvious that family is so special to them as well when I asked Megan to describe to me how her and Tyler got engaged. She said, ”We had planned to go to Indianapolis for the lighting of the tree with my family, while he planned to propose. He invited his whole family and surprised me during the engagement. It was perfect. We spent the rest of the night celebrating with both of our families!”

Grown men cried as Megan walked down the aisle.

How can you not get emotional walking your oldest daughter down the aisle? Do you expect nothing less than to see even the toughest of grooms cry when they see their beautiful bride? This is exactly what happened at Megan & Tyler’s wedding.

Megan walked down the aisle in a gorgeous gown from Ellen’s Bridal, pink Converse, and a sparkling bouquet made out of many brooches that Megan and her mom have collected over the years, as well as, some very special brooches that were given to Megan from family members that were passed down. As she approached her smiling husband, Tyler started becoming emotional and cry. Not shortly after, Megan’s father followed suit and tears were soon streaming down each of their faces. It was a heart felt moment that all could see—the love of a father and soon-to-be husband towards one very special girl.

When asked what she was most excited for at her wedding, Megan said, “I was excited to see Tyler and his reaction when I walked down the aisle, as well as, celebrating with all of our friends and family.”

Then they danced into the night with their closest friends!

Mutual friends, loving families, and constant fun is what brought these two together. And their wedding reception showcased every aspect of their love for one another and their guests. They laughed, danced, joked, and enjoyed the company of their closest comrades all night long at Bel Air Events in Kokomo, IN.

After the festivities, Megan & Tyler chose to honeymoon at Sandals La Toc in St. Lucia. They chose to take their families along with them, and after much research they decided Sandals would be the perfect resort to all go to because they are known for the entertainment and great hospitality. They chose Saint Lucia because they have 3 Sandals resorts on the island and you could visit all 3!! Not to mention its a beautiful island.

Megan & Tyler, I am so thankful that you allowed me to be a part of and capture your wedding day with video. It was such a blessing to us and you both when Megan’s mom decided to book extended hours for a nice surprise. I loved being your videographer.
