We're Trevor & Danyell--Northern Indiana's Wedding and Family Photography & Videography team. We focus on documenting your joyful, authentic, and timeless memories.
An intimate winter wedding event at the Mill Creek Gardens bed and breakfast in Winamac, Indiana, walking down the aisle at their nearby Church of the Heartland surrounded lovingly by only their closest friends and family, proceeding with a touching first look moment down a grand staircase, and ending the night with meaningful speeches, good food, the best company, and a chilly sparkler send off—this was Haley & Trent’s special day.
First, their perfect proposal story.
You can read more about Haley & Trent’s proposal and see their engagement pictures here, but the story goes something like this: Haley had already picked out her ring and knew the time was coming. We can totally relate—I (Danyell) had picked out my ring too. Trevor took us to a jewelry store to simply “try on” some rings “for fun” while he was secretly taking note of everything that I liked and wanted. This is becoming more and more common, and most future brides that I speak with have actually picked out their engagement ring. I mean, it makes sense, we’re the ones that are going to have to be wearing it.
Trent knew that Haley obviously knew, but still wanted to keep it somewhat of a secret surprise. After receiving the ring, he thought of a plan to ask her. According to Haley, “when he proposed he told me we were going for a four-wheeler ride with my parents.” Then they stopped at a bridge to take a picture. This was apparently not uncommon or anything out the blue because Haley mentioned that they had actually taken a picture here before. But this time was actually different!! He got down on one knee and pulled out the ring. That’s when Trent asked Haley to marry him, to be his wife, to be his partner forever.
Then, an intimate wedding planned perfectly in a few months.
The Mill Creek Gardens is a breathtaking mansion turned bed and breakfast in Winamac, Indiana. With a gorgeous layout, beautiful staircase, and amazing large windows, it was a dream to get ready for Haley & Trent’s wedding. They each prepared for the big day in their own rooms before making a grand entrance down the central staircase.
Haley & Trent shared a special first look moment. If you’re not familiar with what a First Look is—it’s a chance for you and your husband to see each other before your official wedding ceremony! It’s that magical moment when your soon-to-be husband first sets eyes on you, the beloved bride, and both your emotions come rushing out. I talked about the pros and cons of a First Look on a previous blog post, and we’ve also shared all about why we, as photographers and videographers, recommend that you should do a First Look.
After plenty of pictures to document their morning before becoming husband and wife, we headed to their nearby Church of the Heartland where Haley & Trent would finally walk down the aisle together. The celebrated their marriage with a bubble exit from the church before heading back to Mill Creek Gardens for a romantic and intimate dinner.
