LVP Studios 2022 Recap

This year was honestly our most fun year ever. It’s crazy how much we all grow year after year, but this was the year we felt like it was less about growing and more about enjoying. We truly loved every single wedding, session, milestone, etc., that we got to be a part of. As our business continues to help families and couples capture life’s important milestones with photos and videos we are continually reminded of why we do what we do. We love that we can be a part of memorializing each of our clients’ special days, but also that we can do this together as a family too. This is our first full season with a little one (now a toddler) at our side, and while the learning curve was steap, we were constantly made aware of our reason behind doing all of this. This blog post is dedicated to all of you who helped support our little growing family in 2022 and continued to give us hope for achieving our dreams.

Here’s some of what we accomplished in 2022:

14 lovely weddings (most of which were photo & video bundles)

Weddings are what we love to do, and the stories we love to tell. They are the biggest part of our business! Our goal is never the amount sessions or weddings we have scheduled, but rather to beautifully capture the moments of these weddings in the best way that we can. This year we scaled back the amount of weddings we took and intentionally did not take any weddings during the winter months (because we prefer natural light and outdoor weddings). We wanted to ensure that every single one of our wedding couples enjoyed their day to the fullest, but also got stunning images and a beautiful video out of it in return.

We are always willing to travel for weddings, but this year stayed closer to home in Northern Indiana than ever before. Over half of our wedding couples grew up within 30 minutes of us and most of those even went to school at the same high school! We love supporting local community members and seeing them all say their “I do’s” in front of classmates that we haven’t seen in years. This year felt very homey.

Beth & Gil had a beautiful wedding at The Barn at Sioux-Monti just outside of Monticello, Indiana. They could not have asked for a better day as the sun was shining beautifully but it was not too hot. After a first touch around the barn doors without seeing each other, they began their outdoor ceremony surrounded my friends and family. As the sun began to set, they continued to celebrated their marriage by partying in the barn, eating good food, cutting their cake, and dancing the night away as husband and wife. This was Bethany & Gil’s special day.

A wedding and reception at The Barn on 400 in Anderson, Indiana. The weather was perfect, everyone looked stunning, and the love these two shared was blanketed by the love their family and friends have for them too. They each got ready in their own bridal suites before heading out for an intimate first look at a nearby park, then they began their ceremony which was one of the most beautiful and heart-felt we have ever witnessed. Afterwards, of course, they danced the night away as husband and wife—this was Kayleigh & Aaron’s special day.

A surprisingly warm fall day at Empeiria 110 in Rochester, Indiana spent getting ready with their bridal party before walking down the aisle in their beautiful outdoor ceremony site and seeing each other for the first time, then finishing off the night with dinner, amazing speeches, and tons of dancing to end their first evening together as husband and wife—this was Michaela & Parker’s special day.

Over 40 other sessions

At LVP Studios, we strive to serve primarily couples and families, but that doesn’t mean we don’t dabble in all kinds of photos and videos for our clients when needed. This year, we loved documenting family moments, tons of engagement sessions, some cute newborns, a few boudoir sessions, and more! We were also able to accomplish more sessions in our studio this year and grow with those opportunities into the cold months.

Charlotte Faye is 1 year old! I can’t believe how quickly time flies. I remember like it was yesterday when we had this new bubbling family in our studio for newborn photos, then 6 month photos, and now 1 whole year. Charlie, you are so loved!

The Sanson family came back to the studio this year for another session for their little Halle girl. She turned two, so they wanted to memorialize the moment with some indoor studio photos as well as a few quick family photos outside.

Emily & Erik met me at France Park to brave the cold for their engagement session. During their session we talked about how they met and Emily said, “We met through mutual friends, I asked Erik to a wedding and the rest is history.”

It was early, gloomy, and cold, but these two sure do clean up nice! Kylee and Jacob met us at the Carmel Christkindlmarkt before they opened in the morning for some beautiful holiday themed engagement photos. We had the entire Christmas Market to ourselves, and enjoyed taking our time taking pictures surrounded by all of the lights and holiday decorations.

Katie and Stone are going to make the absolute best parents to their little baby girl. They’re counting the weeks leading up to her arrival, and you can already tell that she’s just so loved. We met for their session at Davis Ferry Park in Lafayette, Indiana. It was a beautiful summer day with an amazing sunset. I am obsessed with Katie’s green outfits that perfectly showed off her growing bump.

Welcome to the world Maddox Tandy Keller. He was born strong and healthy on July 19th, 2022, weighing 8 lbs 9 oz and measuring 20.5” of pure perfection to an excited momma, Courtney, and proud dad, Dylon. After birth, they shared, “Thank you all for the well wishes and congratulations! It is much appreciated. We’re all doing well all things considered!”

12 sessions with little ones in our studio

Milestone sessions are all about documenting the moments as your baby grows during their first year. You can schedule sessions for fresh 48, newborn, 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, and one year! Commemorating these important milestones with beautiful pictures (and even amazing video) is something that you will cherish for a lifetime.

These sessions can often be called sitter sessions, monthly sessions, or so much more. But we prefer to call them milestone sessions because they encapsulate those important milestones that you child is hitting throughout his/her growth. We love when we can keep things clean and simple, and strive for minimal milestone photos at The LVP Studio in Northern Indiana.

Evelyn is family! She’s our cousin’s littlest girl, and the closest cousin in age to our son, Greysen, at only about 3 weeks apart. We get together nearly every week for a play date, so when Evelyn turned 9 months old we decided to go ahead and snap some cute pictures during our playdate time. We of course had to get some pics with mommy and sis, before we put on her Purdue gear, and beautiful white dress, and then later into a milk bath of oranges and grapefruit.

Welcome to the world Lydia Sue Marie Alexander. She was born July 28, 2022 at 7:18pm weighing 6 lbs 11 oz and measuring 20 1/4” long. She could quite literally be described as pure perfection according to an excited momma, Monica, and proud dad, Thad. After birth, they shared, “We are already so overwhelmed with how blessed we are to be her parents and can’t wait to watch her grow! We love you so much, baby girl.”

Treated countless new clients to coffee

This year (just like years past), we met with countless potential brides, bought tons of coffees, and sent out numerous pdf guides to provide all of the information we could to our new couples. After reaching out to us on our website about booking a session, the first step is for us to get in touch and meet for coffee to chat in person or virtually. Wedding consultations are first on our list and are totally complimentary to all brides. We spend this time talking about their big day and how we can help capture every moment.

Started offering luxury heirloom albums

The photos and videos that we document for you have always been as a means to hold a moment in time–something you can review for years and years to come. With our high quality albums and prints, you can know that your wedding photos, love story, family pictures, and any captured photos will be safe and preserved as an heirloom for years and years to come.

Our biggest revenue year yet

In 2020 we were blessed with the opportunity to have so many sessions and weddings consuming our time that I (Danyell) could quit all other work and focus full-time on LVP Studios. In 2021, we were able to continue supporting our family and new little baby full-time with LVP Studios work. And this past year we have continued to build up a business savings, can pay ourselves well each month, and keep a consistent busy schedule (well, as busy as we want it to be). This business of ours has continued to be successful for us, and brings our family so much joy every day that we get to wake up and do what we love.
