These two are such a gorgeous couple! I mean, come on?! How can you get any more perfect? We met them at Fairfield Lakes Park in Lafayette, Indiana, one glowy evening. The sun was just beginning to set but had a beautiful haze of clouds that allowed for the most dreamy of pictures. A couple hours before the sun sets is a perfect time to get pictures. This is what is called “Golden Hour” and creates gorgeously glowing pictures. And to top it all off Fairfield Lakes Park is quickly becoming one of our favorite places to get those warm toned and beautiful images for engagement pictures. Just perfect.
High School Sweethearts ready to spend forever together.
We first met Macie over coffee with her mom. We talked about her dream wedding, how the planning process was going, how much she was excited to marry the love of her life, and more. It felt like we chatted forever, but also like we could go on and on like old friends. When I asked Macie how her and Jordan met she told me, “We met in high school when I was a freshman and he was a junior.” And then she went on to say that they have been together ever since (awww)!
We later met Jordan for the first time at the engagement session (which is usually how it goes for the gentleman). This is why engagement sessions are included in all of our wedding packages—it’s the perfect time for us to get to know each other a bit more. We do this because having an engagement session prior to the big day makes your wedding day flow easier, and of course, provides you with even more AMAZING and lovely photographs of you and your soon to be spouse. Your engagement session is a time for you and your fiance to get comfortable in front of the camera, it gets you super excited and filled with anticipation for your big day, and allows you as the couple and us as the photographers to really get to know each other a bit better.
During the engagement session I asked Jordan how he proposed. He told me that he asked the big question last August at France park where he had all their family hiding to see it. Macie says, “It was beautiful!” She was actually really surprised too because Jordan pulled the whole thing off last minute. He got his sister to say she needed to “practice taking photographs” so set up a whole shoot for Macie to be the star. Then Jordan showed up to ask her to marry him and the whole thing was caught on camera.
Stay tuned for Macie and Jordan’s August 2021 Wedding!!
A warm summer wedding is the perfect time for these two to get married. We love the idea of their beautiful theme filled with greenery and colors like dusty rose and dark grey. Their most excited about marrying their best friend in front of the people they love the most, and we love that! We will be photographing and video recording their special day. We know that these two are counting the days that their family and friends can all get together while they finally say their “I Do’s”
