We’ve all achieved so much this year just by getting to this point. As everyone starts this new year with a hopeful mind and high spirits, it’s important to remember the struggles we all faced together during 2020. We want to remind you of the growth we have all made even during these hard times—because we know we have all learned so much, changed so much, and accomplished more than we could have imagined in this past year. This blog post is dedicated to all of you who helped support us in 2020 and continued to give us hope for achieving our dreams.

Here’s everything we accomplished in 2020:

Became full time to capture pictures and video of our clients.

A little over half way through the year, I (Danyell) was blessed with the opportunity to have so many sessions and weddings consuming my time. While we had been talking for awhile about going full-time on our business, it was not something we thought would happen in the midst of a global pandemic. Because we had a savings built up, on top of the busy schedule which I knew would bring in income too, we were able to confidently allow me to shift my schedule to only working on LVP Studios. This has continued to be successful for us, and brings me so much joy every day that I get to wake up and do what I love.

Our goal is never the amount sessions or weddings we have scheduled, but rather to beautifully capture the moments of these weddings in the best way that we can. We strive to go above and beyond in serving our couples to ensure that they have the most perfect wedding day ever, but also get stunning images and a beautiful video out of it in return.

We traveled all over Indiana (including many hours to southern Indiana this year), worked a wedding in Illinois, as well as continued to serve our small home town as well. We met with countless potential brides, bought tons of coffees, and sent our numerous pdf guides to provided all of the information we could to our new couples.

Over 37 other sessions with new friends and old.

It’s hard to imagine that 2019 was our first time every taking pictures, and then here we are just one year later with so many amazing sessions under our belt. We loved documenting family moments, seniors in their final year of high school, engagement session, newborns, and more! To top it all off, we were able to move into our studio this year which allowed us the opportunities to continue working well into the cold months which is something we were not usually blessed to do.

Our first ever boudoir session!

After moving into our studio and getting settled, I had a lovely friend meet me for a boudoir session. This is something that I have been wanting to offer to my clients and future brides for some time now, so finally getting the opportunity to try shooting boudoir was so fun! Since then, I have done 2 other sessions that have already taught me so much about boudoir, posing, and the wonders of the body.

Survived a pandemic with no wedding cancelations.

While we had a couple of our spring weddings reschedule, we are grateful to have had no cancelations. We worked hard during these trying times to ensure that our brides felt comfortable and confident with their decisions, we worked to reschedule when necessary and took all of the precautions that were recommended to us. Trevor and I wore masks at almost all times during this years’ weddings, but are simply thankful that everyone is healthy and safe.

One of our favorite parts about video is that we could capture moments for people who could not attend. We took on more last minute weddings than normal, including elopements, because couples wanted to ensure that while their guests lists were dwindling they could still share these moments with friends and family that couldn’t attend. We loved being able to create beautiful videos that were shared all over the world for others to see.

Treated countless new clients to coffee and got to know them better.

After reaching out to us, the first thing we will do is plan a meeting. Whether that’s in person, over Zoom, or simply on a call, we meet with all of our couples who book with us before their wedding date so that we can get to know them better, answer all of their questions, and really go above and beyond to serve them even before they’re booked.

A brand new camera that we can’t wait to use more.

Buying new equipment is always fun and cool, but this new camera is one of the biggest moves we’ve made so far. It is our first full-frame professional level camera we own! It’s wild to think that we’ve been using crop sensor, we’ve been using what might be considered middle-grade, and yet, we have still been able to produce some of the most beautiful images and videos that our clients just love! We truly cannot wait to see what the future holds as our pictures and videos continue to get so much better.
