Graduation—for some, it would be happening right around now. That moment they walk, shake hands, and receive their diploma. But sadly this isn’t happening. Everything is coming in the mail and celebrations are happening at home alone. However, when we get a chance to smile, celebrate the victory that is graduation, and maybe even pop some champagne we’re going to take it! We were so glad to get out and take some graduation images for Sara and her friends at Purdue University in Lafayette, IN.
For those who don’t know, Sara is my sister. I actually have two sisters that were supposed to graduate this year—one in college and one in high school, so seeing everything they’ve worked so hard for seem incomplete, unfinished, and not fair, is so tough. I know first hand how all of these hardworking seniors are feeling. It sucks!! So, I just want to say—keep at it!! There is so much more good to come… you deserve better, and you will shine in the future!
Sara graduated from Lafayette’s Purdue University with a dual major in Selling & Sales Management and Retail Management including a concentration in Apparel Design and Technologies. During her four years at college she rushed Alpha Phi, participated in two Purdue Dance Marathons, hosted the the career fair for two years, competed in numerous sales competitions, and studied abroad in London where she worked as a Wholesale Intern at Brand Stable LTD. Earlier this year, Sara accepted a job in Charlotte, North Carolina with Vallen as a Sales & Operations Trainee. Vallen is a sub company of Sonepar—an international business to business distributor for electrical products, solutions, and services. She has plans to begin work there this fall.
