Tara & David will be getting married next year at Fair Oaks Farmhouse. We will be capturing their special day in September 2021 with photos and video, and can’t wait for their wedding! In the meantime, we thought it was the perfect opportunity to really get to know one another by doing some late fall engagement photos at the Coffee Creek Watershed Preserve in Chesterton, Indiana.
We finally met Tara & David in person for this sunset engagement session at Coffee Creek. Tara came looking stunning in her beautiful hat, and David (looking great as well) just seemed so happy to walk around the Preserve with her on his arm. We truly enjoyed getting to know one another a bit more, hearing about their story, and snapping pictures along the way.
Bridges, beer, and Blackhawks
They told me how they met at a local sports restaurant called Bridges. Tara said, “I would frequent the place to drink beer and watch Cubs games, and it was a spot David and his friends had been going to for over 15 years.” According to them, apparently it is the kind of place where everyone knows everyone, and they greet you by name when you walk in the door. This is Bridges.
David would always buy Tara a beer whenever he saw her, and would then leave without even talking to her! This routine carried on for about 6 months. But then, New Year’s Eve 2018 came. Tara told us, “we both found ourselves alone for the night, and we had both ended up at Bridges. This night was different as we actually talked after David bought my beer (or several) and ended up having a lot of fun.” It was that night that David invited Tara to a Blackhawks game that was coming up in two weeks, and she happily accepted.
The Blackhawks game was a great time, and Tara says David was a perfect gentleman the entire night. Although they had fun together, it would be another 6 weeks before they would speak again. During this six weeks, Tara & David kept running into each other all over town; at CVS, at Strack’s, at the gas station, etc. After some major life events, and all of these run-ins, Tara decided she didn’t want to hold back on her feelings for David any longer. She said, “It was a Friday night and I called Dave and asked him to dinner. He happily accepted my request, and we became inseparable ever since.”
Stay tuned for Tara and David’s September 2021 Wedding!!
A beautiful fall wedding is the perfect time for these two to get married. We love the idea of their elegant theme with colors like gold, champagne, blush, and all kinds of greenery. We will be photographing and video recording their special day. We know that these two are counting the days that their family and friends can all get together while they finally say their “I Do’s”
