How can you not love these two? I mean, just look at those smiles!! When we arrived at the Tippecanoe River State park for their session you could instantly tell how comfortable and in love with each other Kiely & Cole were. We started with a few cozy pictures on a plaid blanket that they had brought and a pumpkin with a W for Cole’s (and soon to be Kiely’s) last name, and ended the session with piggy back rides, tons of kisses, and of course some swirling pictures too.
Tell us the story of your love! How did you meet? What was the proposal like?
Kiely and Cole in High school. Growing up in a small town, it’s easy to know everyone and get to know most, but they were more than that. Kiely says, “We’ve been inseparable ever since!” They love spending their time together watching TV shows and putting together puzzles, and share a a cat named Pepper and a hedgehog!
When the time finally came for Cole to propose, Kiely was totally shocked! He did a good job keeping everything a surprise, and one night when Kiely came home from work after being on call he had everything ready. Kiely told his this story—”Cole had left a sign on the door for me to meet him. I walked in and he was down on one knee with candles light all around.” What a romantic sweetheart, am I right? They then finished the night off by toasting their engagement and continued love, and by eating on of Kiely’s favorite dinners (aww)!!
Cozy vibes, pumpkins, and flannel blankets.
Their engagement session at the Tippecanoe State Park was actually on a rather chilly day, but you could not tell that from these pictures. Cole and Kiely stayed close and cozy throughout the session caring for one another and keeping each other warm. They had brought a blanket for some cute and cuddly snuggles and a ceramic pumpkin with a W for Cole’s (and soon to be Kiely’s) last name.
Kiely had also planned out a few Pinterest inspiration poses that we were able to recreate. We love it when our clients have ideas in mind, but you can have faith that we will pose you as needed. For most of our sessions, we will set you up in a specific location and then ask you to interact with each other. We will usually get a couple of standard smiling poses, but the rest are meant to be candid. Don’t be afraid to move or talk during our sessions! Sing songs and act silly, dance a little and laugh a lot, we’ll just promise to try not to make it awkward when we’re following you around with a big camera (or two).
