Shannon & Ryan | A wedding at the Boondocks Farms in Knightstown, Indiana

A beautiful overcast day with the sun peaking behind the clouds at Boondocks Farms in Knightstown, Indiana, where Shannon & Ryan prepped for their special day with their closest friends and family followed by a tear-filled outdoor wedding under an arch, a dance-all-night type of reception in the barn with heartfelt speeches and even more tears of laughter and joy, and finishing off the night with delicious food, cake, and a sparkler send off—this was Shannon & Ryan’s special day.

Snapchat, Four Wheelers, & Tennessee

Learning about how each and every one of our LVP couples met is something that is so special to us. We truly love getting to know each of our couple’s on a more personal level which is why we have multiple meetings, send a few questionnaire, and just stay in constant communication throughout the wedding planning process. When we asked Shannon how her and Ryan met she said, “Ryan actually added me on Snapchat almost 4 years ago and we started talking that way! It wasn’t even a month before we both knew this was going somewhere.”

They officially started dating in December of 2016, and Shannon truly describes these as the best years of her life! Shannon & Ryan bonded over their love for nature and exploring the outdoors. They have road tripped to Colorado and been to many other states as well. They both told us “we enjoy riding UTVs, and we go often in Tennessee.”

Ryan proposed at one of their favorite spots in Tennessee while riding four wheelers. It all went down at a place called The Hole in the Wall. When asked to describe the proposal more all Shannon could say was, “It was perfect!”

Like most, they were just ready to be married!

As we continue to get to know each of our couples a little more we often ask them questions like what are they most excited about and what are they most nervous for. Asking these questions can help us make their day go smoothly by ensuring that we capture those things that they are excited for and alleviating some of those nerves too.

Like most couples right now, they were most nervous about making sure that everything goes smoothly. Not only is planning a wedding a big ordeal during “normal times,” it has been especially stressful for those that are planning their wedding during the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Shannon told us, “With COVID, planning our wedding has been exceptionally difficult, and I’m just ready to be married! I’m most excited about seeing Ryan as soon as I start to walk down the aisle. And the pictures, and the first dance, and just getting to be happy and enjoy the day!”

“On loan, sir”

When the big day finally happened, Ryan waited at the top of the aisle in a Generation Tux surrounded by their closest friends. Shannon walked down the aisle escorted by her father and wearing a stunning gown from Unique Boutique and Bridal. Shannon’s father could not bear to give her away and when asked by the officiant “who gives this woman to be married to this man?” he simply replied “on loan, sir” which made everyone chuckle.

Ryan could hardly contain himself seeing his beautiful bride for the first time that day. He was a wreck with emotions in the most heartfelt way. Tears were covering his cheeks throughout the wedding and he sniffled often during his vows. The time came for their first kiss, and Shannon & Ryan were overcome with joy that they dipped and kissed again at the end of the aisle while finally walking away as husband and wife.

Their reception was full of laughter and loads of dancing. Shannon & Ryan shared cake, danced gingerly for their first dance, and had many intimate moments with friends and family that they cared so deeply about.
