We're Trevor & Danyell--Northern Indiana's Wedding and Family Photography & Videography team. We focus on documenting your joyful, authentic, and timeless memories.
Like most Midwest families, the Streitmatters’ world revolves around agriculture, livestock, and their faith. They have awesome parents who raised them to work hard and more importantly for them to give God the glory! When I asked Hannah (the daughter who booked with us) to tell us something unique about their large family she said, “The more we grow in size the closer we seem to get! While each person is in a different phase of life, it keeps things interesting and always exciting.”
The Streitmatter family booked with us for a longer 2 hr session, so we wound up with a gallery of over 200 images to share with them! There were so many good ones too, so this blog post is only showcasing some of my favorites (and I had to narrow it down even from that).
Since Hannah took the time to fill out our questionnaire that we try to send to all of our families who book a session, we thought it would be fun to showcase some of her answers. We love how she described all of the members of the family, and it was so great to get to know them via the questionnaire before actually meeting later in person.
Mike & Cheri (Parents aka PawPaw Mike & MawMaw cher bear)
You can imagine having 6 children & living life on a farm isn’t easy – This session was a gift to their mom, and they wanted to make sure she felt enlightened/beautiful. Mike has a heart of gold, and according to Hannah, could talk your ear off. She even warned me that, “we have a lot of inside jokes ’bout Mike – so if we’re snickering in the background it’s NOT you – it’s Mike.”
Ben, Taylor, and their little ones, Easton & Taryn
Easton is their super sweet & very smart 4 year old son. He loves farming, his new baby sister, and is full of energy. Taryn is a Valentines day baby and probably the chubbiest baby you’ve ever seen! This was her first photo experience outside of her fresh 48 session and obligatory iPhone pics. Hannah told me she is a daddy’s girl through and through, and I could definitely tell that to be true throughout the session.
Josh & Marissa
Apparently, they’re the proclaimed beautiful couple in the family! While I thought the whole family was absolutely stunning.
JT & Hannah
Hannah was who booked this session. Her and her husband, JT, own The Barn at Sioux Monti— a venue where we’ve filmed and photographed a wedding before. It was such an honor to have Hannah consider LVP Studios for their family pictures, and we can’t wait for the years to come as I know we will all continue to get closer and closer.
Caleb, David & Rachel
The single pringle siblings. This is a term that they taught me, and I love it. We will continue to call solo people single pringles from now on. Caleb—according to Hannah, he’s more talented than he realizes and can dance like no ones business. Rachel aka boss b!tch (her words, not mine) is a senior in high school and loves showing livestock. David, aka the baby of the family when you exclude the grandkids, is a freshmen in high school, and his life revolves around basketball and getting to play college ball some day.
And that’s the whole crew! Whew!! It was so fun to get to know each one of these family members more during their session, jump around in the crisp fall air down by the beach and walk some of the trails, and of course, enjoy taking our time snapping amazing pictures that I hope they can cherish for a lifetime.
